If you are looking for ST i suggest you just pay $20(for 2 hours) for a room in a nearby hotel. This way you can take your time and prowl the area as there are hotels every corner you turn.
Something about LB's in SG or in LOS that I would like to bring up again...they are quite OK on the whole but have heard stories about them trying to lift your wallet given the chance...so if you are going to take an LB play it safe and keep your personals stashed away or carry minimum cash if you can.
I would strongly suggest using one of the many hotels in Geylang first and if you really like a particular LB after trying it out than consider your own hotel for round 2.
