Good Intel Gents.
There is definitely more than meets the eye here.
I still cant figure out why you would buy multiple drinks for a "bar girl" when they cant leave the bar - especially when lady drinks are 20-30 sg a pop.
I have checked out craigs list and other sites but honestly I am lazy and like to peruse a buffet before deciding on a meal. You never know what you will get on craigs list and have given up on the KTV's and Orchard (exception Ipenema and Country bar) because I refuse to buy a girl a drink just to talk to me without the chance of taking her home - especially since Bkk is 2 hours away and a fraction of the cost.
Dont get me wrong -I think Sing is great but been very spoiled in Dubai and BKK.
Went to a Thai Bar where you buy Lei's from anywhere from 50 -500 sg, they get placed around the neck of the girl of your choice and you get a chance to talk to her for 15 minutes WTF ?????
Looked up the Paramount Hotel -will be going there tonight - worth a look see.

Used to join this networking group SunDowners. They would meet every month at various locations. It was a great way to meet up regular girls. Don't know if the organizers are still doing this, otherwise, I am sure there must be something similar being organized.

I heard news that all the bars in paramount complex are going to be closed down by the police to curb the nuisance of working girls. Couple of girls I know from there have gone back home since their pub was raided. Not sure how true this is. Can anyone confirm?

This rumor has been floating around for years.... the current efforts in Singapore are to keep the WGs out of the Heartlands (Serangoon, Ang Mo Kio, Balestier) where they are hanging out near budget hotels and pulling tricks from the taxi drivers and uncles...
