Happyface, Unless I ditch off to LOS, I expect to be around and I'm usually available for a drink. I can't help you on hotels as the company always handles it and I'm usually a little out of town. The places to go for P4P are Geylang and Orchard Towers. I've only been to the latter - bars was lots of freelancers from LOS, Phillipines, and elsewhere. The others can probably help you more. Other places to go: fantastic zoo - the night safari is a very different zoo experience I highly recommend; orchard road is sg's shrine to consumerism; botanic gardens are a great walk in the park

ParadiseSeeker..... Thanks for the info. I have two return tickets from BKK, one for 25th and other for 27th that would only give me a 24 hour layover b/f my flight out. I will pm you later with my final plans and maybe can hook up for a couple of brews either way.....

For the updates on the Singapore scene: You can try yet again Lorong 18, Geylang. House number #20 has some hot Thai chicks. Atami House at Lorong 20, Geylang which used to be a haunt is blacklisted among locals. This is due to AIDs cases reported among punters. At Westerhout Road (intersection between Lorong 20 and Lorong 18) has some of the cheapest and sexiest Thai girls u ever meet. They are on tourist visa and usually stay a month and return. Look for Ah-Boy and ask for Goi. She used to work at a Carlifornia Fitness in Bangkok. Too bad she has a son.

Punter ethics is usually not to spread rumours regarding life-threatening diseses unless confirmed. Who knows if this is started by a certain disgruntled customer, and this is being unfair to the girls. If one wants to punt, one should jolly know well how to punt safely if he gives 2 balls about his life. Have a child.. that's like what.. 7 out of 10 p4p girls in bkk?

Report from Bangkok Post dated Saturday 9 December 2006 :- Genting wins bid to run Singapore casino ============================== Singapore - Genting International won the high-stakes bid for Singapore's second casino resort on Friday with a multi-billion- dollar pitch focused on a movie-based theme park and the world's largest aquarium. "Genting has the track record to raise Singapore's tourism appeal," Deputy Prime Minister S. Jayakumar said in announcing the decision. Losers were Bahamas-based Kerzner International linked with Asia's largest property developer CapitaLand and Eighth Wonder, a Las Vegas firm which teamed up with Australia's Publishing & Broadcasting Limited and two other partners. "We are extremely delighted to have been chosen," said Lim Kok Thay, Genting International chairman in a statement. "We have the means and ability to shift the paradigm of tourism here and look forward to contributing to the next chapter of Singapore's tourism success story," he said of the 5.2-billion- Singapore-dollar (3.3-billion-US-dollar) proposal. The successful bidder was announced on the island of Sentosa where the 49-acre resort will be built and completed by 2010. The government will not offer another casino license for at least 10 years. Tourism lure drawing new and repeat visitors was regarded as the single most important factor in selecting the developer of the family-oriented project. Analysts were not surprised by the choice. Genting had long been regarded as the frontrunner by such firms as Merrill Lynch. Malaysia's Genting Bhd, bidding through affiliates Genting International and Star Cruises, owns the Genting Highlands resort and recently acquired UK's Stanley Leisure, bringing another 45 casinos in Britain to its stable. Genting, playing the Hollywood glitz and glamour card, offered tie-ups with the Universal Studios theme park and a Steven Spielberg digital studio. Trade and Industry Minister Lim Hng Kiang said the 30-year agreement between Genting and Universal was a major factor. With the complex called Resorts World at Sentosa, Lim said Genting expected it would create 30,000 jobs. "We want this to be a key anchor attraction that will draw new and repeat visitors to Singapore," Lim told a news conference. Genting projected 15 million visitors by 2015 from the resort designed by renowned architect Michael Graves. "Genting gave us the most compelling proposal," Lim said, mentioning Universal's 22 major attractions at the "very sizeable theme park," a marine life park with 700,000 aquatic animals, a water park with its own rides and a Maritime Museum showcasing Asia's maritime history. The plan also includes six hotels with 1,800 rooms. Singapore lifted its longstanding ban on casino gambling last year as part of a plan to replace its straight-laced image with a vibrant one and double visitor arrivals to 17 million by 2015. The first casino was awarded to the Las Vegas Sands in May for its 3.6-billion-US-dollar triple tower and massive convention facilities aimed at attracting business travellers and huge meetings. An initial field of 20 interested bidders was whittled down to three as the costs soared. The resort on Sentosa is to be completed in 2010, one year after the Marina Bay facility in Singapore's financial heart. In a bid to ease fears over a jump in gambling addicts, both casinos will charge Singaporeans a 100-Singapore-dollar (64-US- dollar) entrance fee. Kerzner and Singapore's CapitaLand submitted a 3.3 billion US dollar futuristic underworld designed by architect Frank Gehry. Features included 90-metre-tall glass-encased sails, a water theme park, the world's largest man-made coral reed, and a botanical garden, all mixing live and robotic plants and animals. Eighth Wonder submitted the costliest bid of 3.5-billion-US- dollars. Surrounded by a volcano, plans included a football stadium and football-theme hotel. Brazilian soccer legend Pele was enlisted to run a sports school and other themed areas were backed by well-being guru Deepak Chopra and designer Vera Wang.

Dear factorx, I've been leaving and working in this island for the last 15 years. Your skepticism is healthy and not entirely unfounded. Albeit, in moral philosophy there is no sound viable ethical system to date - much less Punters Ethics. So take it or leave it! Merry Christmas!

Please help. I am going to LOS this. I am also planning to go to Singapore. Should I land in Singapore and then go to Thailand or go to LOS first and from there go to Sing. I would imagine getting a flight to Sing is cheaper in LOS compared to pre-booking it here. What I am concerned is if the flights are going to be booked and I may waste money with pre-booking my hotel arrangements online.
