Guys, I'm heading up to Manila for a few days work next week (and from there to Bangkok for two weeks R&R). Work has booked me into my normal place - Shangri-La Makati. Does anyone know if it's guest-friendly? There's a lot of discussion elsewhere about GF places in Bangkok, but I don't think we've covered it here.
My other option is Pan Pacific in Malate.

Think you may have some problems at Shangri-La, know Linden suites which is nearby is ok (or was 5 months ago! Book a double room!

makati shangri-la never a problem for me, but I also come back very early in the morning and usually with a more respectable girl from burgos!

No problems with Pan-Pacific (Malate). Stayed there twice this year already. No problems with bringing girls back, no requests for extra "joiner" fees, etc.

Well, to update my own thread. I can positively state that Makati Shangrila is VERY girlfriendly. At least, I had no hassles from the security people or reception or even the lift attendant as I stumbled in at 2am on Sunday morning, accompanied by two of LA Cafe's finest.
Oh dear... i'm getting too old for this
