My 4th day of my sleepless first trip in Manila ... I am very pleasantly surprised of Manila after hearing about all those security risks here. Definetly less to do than in Bangkok but the mix of Latin mind in oriental bodies is great. Also, not having places closing at around 2:00 AM is a plus with most speaking a good English.
Experience was great but I found the girls more shy than in Bangkok when you want to a blind-discovery of their anatomy.

Filipinos like to party but most of the time, it starts at around midnite and true that there are many regulars, hunting is a sport here. But week-end is as everywhere the best days to go.

I visited both Angeles and Manila in September 2001 and I wasn't impressed by either. I agree with many of the previous posts on this thread with regard to the poor hotels, appauling food and the feeling that you can never fuly relax.
Angeles was filthy with nothing to do during the day and I found myself getting bored. In Manila I stayed in Makati for two nights instead of the four I had originally intended before getting an early flight back to the LOS.
I don't think I will be going back to the Philippines in a hurry but if anyone is planning to go I would limit your visit to a week split between Angeles and Manila. That way you will have experienced these places and your curiosity will be satisfied.

well just the opposite for me! i love manila esp. makati and its burgos street. there are so many cute honeys around and not that spoiled and demanding as tg's are already. when i can not get enough thai pussy anymore because i am getting old (may be in 10 years) i could seriously think of moving to manila thus leaving bangkok!
the only porblem about the philippines is that it is sort of the 52nd state of the USA so there will not be as much food variety as in bangkok. also culture wise i will always prefer los, but the chicks in the phillis are just awsome with a much better education + no language problems as everybody does speak english!

of course Manila doesn't have the food variety of BKK, very few places do. but it's not bad either.
i know the philippines VERY well and agree with Griffen (except for when he takes the piss out of the American influence)

yeah, but that is mainly real restaurants in the side roads. problem is after hour places or quick stuff tend to be american food chains only.
anyway phillis are still cool and so many nice islands!!!

I also know the Phils. very well, I have visited it for vacation on many occasions and I have also worked there. There is a big american influence, no doubt about it! This has its good and bad sides. The thing I liked most is that almost anybody who has at least some education speaks English and that there is a large selection of newspapers in English. The thing I liked the least that their culture is apparently mainly consisting of NBA basketball and US fastfood chains. Do not get me wrong, I like the Phils. a lot and I am still having many good friends there.

i was reading a shocking report that Angeles city is run by underworld mafia....and they have govt. connection as well . They simly kidnap girls and sell them for money. Can any one tell me any details about it? Is it true? We all want to enjoy but not at the cost of tears of some innocent soul , no way. Who can inform me here , what is the real story?
