okay, I'm heading to Manila next Saturday (Jan 24th). I've read through the information here, but I'm wondering if there are any websites I should check out that have a bit more detailed stuff.
I'm staying in Manila for the first night, and then probably Angeles City for Sunday and Monday, followed by Manila again on the Tuesday and back in the Kok on Wednesday.
I have absolutely no plans whatsoever for when I'm there (I'm just going because I've never been there before), so ANY suggestions of stuff to do would be appreciated.

I would recommend going to LA Cafe for freelancers and EDSA which is a group of gogos in Manila. When you are in AC, all the action is on Fields at night and Perimeter Rd. during the day.

Yeah LA Cafe is your best bet for freelancers. And the best part is that it's opened 24 hours a day. I am planning on camping out there for 3 days, on my next trip.

And if you get hungry while at LA Cafe, you can just walk a couple blocks over to the Hyatt and have a "safe" meal. i.e. You won't get sick from the food there. The caesar salad in the lounge next to the lobby is damn good (at the hyatt).

Boobies, thank for that suggestion, I'll definitely give it a try. The Caesar salad in LA Cafe is too strange for me, and the portions are humongous!

Awesome advice, folks. I'll be sure to check out LA Cafe, as I'm staying right across the street (thanks to some other posters' advice!).
Anyone have an idea on a hotel in AC? I'm thinking I'll only be there one night, really.

I prefer Pacific Breeze because it is close to Fields Ave. and is very popular. Runs about $60 a night. There are cheaper options if you prefer since you are only going to be there for one night. If you prefer more upscale, I would recommend ABC Hotel or Lewis Grand but I wouldn't stay at Lewis Grand because it is further away and they still have some service issues.
