Flew into Manila last Thursday. It was kinda on impulse. My buddy was there for work, but he would be free in the afternoon, so I checked Thai Airways, got my ticket and arrived in the afternoon. Hopped onto a metered cab, flag down was 70 P, and it was 280+ P when I got to my hotel. Stayed at the Pearl Garden again. Wifi is free, and since I was there before, my iPhone had remembered the password from last year.
Waited for my buddy's text, and sure enough he was in the same hotel. We met for lunch, and after that it was going to be LA Cafe for the next 48 hours!  It was a short walk from the hotel. First thing's first, I need some pera (money). A stop by the money changer. There are money changers everywhere! Some are even opened 24 hours. I was figuring a quiet weekend this time, so I just changed US$100. I would soon learn that the rates change from time to time, and you could actually haggle with the money changers for a better rate if you didn't like what they were offering. In this case you asked for more! 
This place is busy as usual, it was already 4 pm. There were more girls than guys, it was like 3-4 girls to 1 guy. We managed to find 2 empty seats at the circular bar, got our 2 San Miguel Lights (SML) and looked around. It wasn't long before we'd get girls chatting us up. Now, the only problem is this. Whenever, we figured, we'd hang out with this one girl, a better one would show up or their prettier friend would come along.
In gneneral, on the ground floor you get mostly the darker variety. The locals (on another forum) call them the "exotic" types. However, that wasn't my experience, there were both types. My friend had the exotic one, I would have pounced on her too, if not for the other three I had on my side already.  Did I say "quiet weekend"? Well, f*** that! Now, I wouldn't mind taking any one of the 3 girls, but not 3 at once, so I had to shake them off. I decided to go watch some pool at the end of the bar. There were a couple of tables there. The cloth on them were so old, that there was hardly any friction left.
Anyway, this older guy comes up to me and asks me if I'd play with him for a 100 P. I agreed and played a game. I lost a couple, and went back to check on my friend. By then he had 3 girls too, and he was dancing with them. And my girls had reduced from 3 to 2. Phew. Okay, back to the pool tables. Normally, you have to wait your turn, but if you're playing for money, that sorta takes precedence. This time, however, I beat him 3 games straight, so got back my money, plus 100 P profit. However I would soon lose that again, when he brought in a younger "top gun".  All I did was break and miss on my ball, and this guy just cleans up his balls and the black, all in one turn. f***! I am outta here! 
The 2 girls were still there! It was about 7 pm, and still too early to go upstairs, the girls were horny and so was I, so I took them back to the hotel. Told my buddy, I'd be back when I was done with these two. At the hotel, the security requested the girls to sign in and deposit their photos IDs. Up in my room, I sure managed to make a big mess of the place. We had our little shower sandwich. These two were slim, I'd say JB 0 (Jollibee Belly).  After a good workout with these two nymphettes, I was thirsty again!
Back to LA Cafe for round two (or is it three?). And another stop by the money changer. I was offered a lower rate, I bitched about it, and he gave a slightly better rate. Anyway, it was only a difference of 20 P. It was a little past 9, just nice. I head upstairs and my buddy was there with his 3 girls, and with a bottle of voBKa opened. It was a Thursday night, so the entrance was only 100 P (vs 150 P on Fridays and Saturdays). I got my SML and roamed around inside the bar area, and there were just more and more girls in there. Here you tend to get the fairer ones. Oh yeah, there's going to be a third one tonight.
There were a group of girls sitting near the pool table. I chatted with one of them, and soon I get introduced to all of them. While talking to them, I noticed a mamasan coming to them and telling two of them to go meet with some customers. It gets a little blurry after many beers, but basically I do remember playing more pool and getting my ass kicked; buying some girls drinks, ordering some food, and taking a girl back for another round. So much for the quiet trip.
My buddy partied on, and he told me the next day that they had consumed 4 bottles (in total) of voBKa and tequila, and numerous other cocktails. Apparently some food that I had ordered for the other girls weren't fully paid, so they tagged it on to my friend's bill. His bill came to a whopping 18,000 P!

Was in Manila end of September, just after the big flood. Went to LA Cafe just after spending some time (beers) at EDSA. Went down and upstairs (1st time in LA Cafe). This place is huge! I forgot that there is entrance fee upstairs. So I went up without even noticing the place to pay. Noone requested anything... anyway, 100P or 150P is not a big deal.
Unfortunately, I was not appealed by the quality there. Spent 3 hours, discussed with a bunch of girls but was not aroused by any of them. (maybe spent too many years in Thailand and China).
Quality in EDSA was better.
Anyway, I'll check again beg of December.
