Most of my mates and I agree that the Head in PI is the best in the World. We're guessing it's from the Spanish influences...
A few of my biker bros prefer Cambodian BBBJs however, and blame it on French influence... but the Laotian ladies don't get the same compliment, even though they were also influenced by French... go figure...

The HomeStead (hotel) is right across the road from EDSA...
I was on company budget my last visit, so was in Sheraton (or Hilton) at Makati, near HSBC and Hard Rock. Best damn shower I ever had in my life.

good gf-hotel right on burgos is the newly renovated palace. rooms are 4-5 star quality for about php 2,500!

I normally stay at the Linden Suites which is GF! Similar rates! May try the Palace next time as the Bar there is a very good FL pick up place  .

I am arriving in Manila on July 25th and only have three nights of freedom. Staying at Shangri-la. Where are the best freelancer places near the hotel. I saw some discussion of Matrix and SteamTrain on Burgos Street. This is my first time in PI - is Burgos near the Makati area? I am not much for beer bars - prefer CM2 in BKK. Would be greatful for recommendations. Also, any good MP's in the Makati area - a boy needs variety!

i walked to P. Burgos from my hotel in Makati, but have to admit that it was quite the long way, and it was just dusk. Wouldn't advise walking that far in the dark.
EDSA is the opposite direction, and is my preferred venue, but is all Go-Gos
