HI Guys,
I will be in Manila Friday and Saturday night for the first time. I travel to Bangkok 5 or 6 times a year so know the lay of the land pretty well.
BUT the PI is a new world for me. Staying at New World in Makati
Where would you recommend I go given I dont have a huge budget. Sounds to me P.Burgos barfines are very steep at 3000 just for the bf.
Whats your thoughts on the EDSA complex (and where is a good bar to start).
Also picking up a FL at Havana Cafe, which will be close by for me. Thoughts?
By the way do they classify a SW and a FL the same? I have seen many warnings about SW's.
Lastly is LA Cafe at EDSA?

New World is a good hotel. Stayed there a few times.
Where to start?
Immediately outside New World is Greenbelt which is full of bars/bistros etc. You can chance your arm here with the local office girls, Hi-so's etc. I am sure there will be a few freelancers around here as well. Cafe Havana is a good place to people watch from.
I prefer the complex at EDSA to Burgos. BF in Edsa is about 1000pesos (may be a bit more now). Most girls in The Firehouse but the better looking ones are in the two bars to the left & right as you go in (Pitstop &..I forget).
LA Cafe is in Ermita/Mabini about 15mins by taxi from EDSA (depending on traffic).
Is SW a street walker? Not many of those in the PI..not like lower Suk anyway. Like all FL's you have to be careful. Manila is just like Bkk. If you go to Glorietta (the shopping mall) just outside your hotel you can hit on any girl you choose to. Some will respond others will not. Like MBK really. One thing is that no Filipina will take offence providing you are polite.
Take a girl from EDSA. I have never had any problems with these girls and they are good value for money.

I concur with all that DSBones mentioned.
If SW’s are indeed streetwalkers, there are almost none, because all bars stay open till the morning and there is always a place to go. No need to stagger around Suk with a hard-on.
The New World is right behind the new place to be seen in Manila: Greenbelt 3. A wide array of splendid restaurants right at your doorstep: make sure you try out Sentro (Filipino), Hue (Vietnamese) and Sugi (Japanese). These is a hip bar called Absynthe on the 3rd floor. Together with Ice (a voBKa bar) and Venezia (Glorietta 2) still the place to pick up hi-so’s. Not on your sandals though. It will take some effort. And a bottle of Moet.
Your hotel has a splendid Chinese restaurant and a club called Cats in the basement. In the weekends it has plenty of action. About 5 minutes walk from your hotel is Shangri-La Makati with another hotel-club. Plenty of freelancers therel. Cats is more of a club then a pick up place though. Danny Howells spinned there for example.
(and where is a good bar to start).
For starters head to Jools in Burgos. They have a pretty good choreographed (seriously) show and you can then head to EDSA and/or LA Café (open 24 hours). While you are in Malate, stroll down to Remedios Circle along Mabini. Plenty of clubs and bars there.
Also picking up a FL at Havana Cafe, which will be close by for me. Thoughts?
I don’t know how Havana Café got this name of a FL pick up place. I have never encountered any (obvious) FL’s there – and I been to both of them quite a bit (aah, the days of salsa class with Trish). But then again, Filipina’s are much more genuine flirty and playful then Thai girls – so you never know.
Lastly is LA Cafe at EDSA?

Gents,
I'll be travelling to Philippines on a business trip soon. This will be my first trip to PI and I'll be staying in Gen Tiras, a town somewhat south of Manila. I have experienced the BKK scene, and simply loved it.
How is p4p scene in Gen Trias? I am looking for the usual... FL joints, go-go bars, night clubs, discos etc. Any places you can recommend?
Also, how is the commute between Gen Trias and Manila? I would like to hit a few hot spots in Manila if at all possible...
Comments will be appreciated.

I cant have you losing sleep over this matter.
When I used SW I did indeed mean Street Walker.
Im still not entirely sure if there is a major diff between a Free Lancer and a Street Walker other than my imagination thinking a Street Walker may be a drugged out shocker.
