Hello fellow punters,
Planning to stay at the Shangri-la Kowloon for a few days and wondered if they are G/F? Futhermore, are there any areas in Kowloon similar to Wanchai where you can find working girls at the bars or nightclubs? Appreciate any information you can share.

to be honest I think it would be very rare indeed these days to be stopped by security in any asian / european country by security (at night) and asked for id
maybe in the middle east
but most hotels these days require room key cards to access the lift
certainly shangrila kowloon does - no key, no lift access
so they are hardly going to stop and check everyone who just wants a cup of tea in the lobby?
the staff have been there a long time, even one of the bellboy who has one eye, jimmy or lefteye lopez, and a couple of filipino guys
even the girls in tapas bar used to be fun
always remember years ago 3 of them working them, I kid you not, gin, olive, and peach! almost enough for a cocktail
i prefer shang kowloon to pacific place because its half the price, rooms are double size, and you get to look at hk island and over there they get to look at kowloon
very dull
also kowloon shang is more old fashioned old school, they remember you, friendly, etc, but island shang is businessmen, you are a number not a face, just hundreds of suits in and out all day, just not as friendly there

I really appreciate all the info. Is there any district similar to Wanchai in Kowloon with working girls? I have been to HK so many times, but have always stayed on the HK side. For your information, The Harborview across from the Grand Hyatt does stop you walking in with a p4p and asks for their ID. I think its all about slipping them a tip which I never do.Who knows, maybe I should start to.

i think mongkok area is sort of similar
but u cant go wrong with wanchai
or lan kwai fong if u want civilians
i guess u just unlucky that time, I stayed in renaissance harbour view hotel many times years ago never got stopped or at grand hyatt next door, nor at either shangs
and those little pinoys from wanchai hardly look like classy chicks at 4am
especially when you have a couple of them, one on each arm hahaha
