That was kind of you to ask and I appreciate your encouragement.
BarBar is located in a small street in Patpong. There is a long bar area as you enter and at least 10-15 seats for unoccupied Mistresses and subs. There is a small room left of the bar and another also to the right. Both are well equipped. There are also rooms upstairs for private play, but I didn't go there. I am a bit of an exhibitionist at heart 
As usual on entering for the first time, the staff perform a show. I wondered as I watched a little just how hard it was all going to get: the sub girl was taking pretty hard blows by the time I called for a pause to the action. Politely, but also quite firmly, I told the Mamasan that I was a sub and really wanted to try one of the Mistresses myself.
The mamasan agreed and recommended Joy. However, by this time, I had taken a fancy to Nuk - and also added Kung and Joy for my session. [My fee for each lady was 1000 Baht for play inside BarBar. I also paid the liberal prices for drinks (and drank quite liberally) and my overall expense was about 9000 Baht. The Mamasan gently chided me for being a cheap Charlie (especially given that it was a Saturday night) and indeed she was right. I have never enjoyed this kind of play anywhere else other than Japan.]
Anyway, back to the play. There were straps, canes and whips and both Joy and Nuk displayed great skill and severity. Kung could really become a very good friend, but she was the one mainly monitoring my health! Oh, how I love these girls!) Humbly, knees walking I fetched drinks for the ladies and Joy let the sub man know about his lowly status. Nuk, however, was also surprisingly aware of her power. She seemed to like to whack very, very hard and then she would look kindly into my eyes. Nuk has beautiful eyes. In fact, I decided very early that I could almost take any amount of pain for her.
To summarise the key points of the session:
(1) Nuk and Joy extended my limits and went harder than any Thai girls I have been with.
(2) Nuk has a sexual, sultry and...... unobtainable aspect to her art in domination. Has anyone ever fancied a famous actress, but also known that the lady in question was beyond them, above them, in actual fact, hopelessly destined to finish with a very well-to-do, famous husband? Well, this is Nuk - a masochist's ideal! She smashed me around for seemingly hours, but also made it clear that I could never be hers. Havelock Ellis could not have better captured a sub's sex drive!

(4) Lek. Lek invited herself to the session and said she was "helping me". She gives new meaning to the word callous. She is exceptionally cruel.... and beautiful.
However, my heart and body belong to Nuk.

I was attractd by that cutie at the door, so I thought I would give this place a try. Once was enough

I sit at the long bar, In dirty grimy chairs. And get my water downed 900 Baht gin tonic. I watch one girl get whipped by another and they both look bored. I felt bad for them.
As I looked around, I didnt see any girl I would rate higher than "5"
Then one came over started playing with my johnson. and her feind started smiling at me. They invited me into private room. For 1000 baht each. Plus a drink each. Then all pretext of SM went away and one girl went down on me while the other teased. These were two of the oldest ugliest used up girls I have seen in a Bangkok bar. Finished and paid my bill. 3500 baht or so. Ran out, never to look back

Obviously - we have different tastes. That said - your post here is just malicious and I doubt very much that you have ever been inside BarBar. What a pathetic post! Made you wear a Sports jacket...mmmm not quite old boy. I would urge all genuine readers to find out for themselves.
Comparing bdsm to the normal Bangkok bar scene is ridiculous in the extreme. Can you name anyone inside the bar that you met? I bet you can't because you have not been inside. I have and let me tell you the ladies are far more attractive than anyone you will find in Patpong, the Nana complex or indeed the Nana disco. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it is a very different matter to peddle lies. I have no problem with anyone who complains about the cost (although it is not expensive by B & D standards) but I take issue with farang who have no concept of sm play (atmosphere is critical) and who try to rubbish a scene that is still in its early development.

No, I dont remember names of anyone. I didnt find anyone worth remembering. My main point is these girls are not into SM at all. They are play acting and clearly not very enthused about it. Combined with a dingy place, high prices, and some of the least attractive bar girls in Bangkok makes this a no-go for me.
I dont mean to be malicious. If boring, old, unattractive bar girls, in a dingy grimy overpriced bar is your taste, by all means GO THERE

I have been in Barbar once a few months ago. Sadly, I would have to report that my experience was closer to what lucky6666 describes, utterly lacking in atmosphere and genuineness. I am not saying that the people behind Barbar are actually attempting to provide services similar to those available in other bars in Patpong. They may actually be honest in their desire to have a genuinely BDSM themed bar. But in my view, they are failing. Despite the price, the atmosphere in Barbar appears to me actually cheap, and as some have pointed out, sometimes downright vulgar. This is not what I expect from BDSM. None of the girls I met in the bar during my visit there appeared talented enough or even inclined to do more than pretend to be in BDSM. I don't care paying 9000 Baht (or even more) if I get the genuine experience. That was not the case in Barbar.
Anyway, there is no scene to speak of in Bangkok and no open place to cater to it (rightly enough as, again, there is no scene). There 3 or 4 places in the Kingdom where you can find genuine BDSM practitioners and none of them is in the format of a bar.
And attempting to create one place dedicated to the scene in Patpong, that place so much associated with standard prostitution and vulgarity, is clumsy to say the least.

As far as BarBar goes, visit the website and look at the girls for yourself. There are some absolute stunners there! Indeed, they are far more attractive than the photos of the ladies at the regular dungeons in Bangkok who are, well, old and haggard (Tahn excluded).
As far as the other rubbish about BarBar being dirty, that is just simply untrue. I have never felt more comfortable and at ease and I am neurotic about cleanliness.
BarBar and Demonia compare favourably with Sugar Heel and Baroque in Tokyo and, in fact, many Japanese subs actually visit both Bangkok bars. And I know where FIB is coming from when he criticises the bars and praises the dungeons, namely, from the position of the proprieter of one of the dungeons. The atmosphere in BarBar and Demonia is electric; the atmosphere in the dungeons is cliche and restrictive. Fullstop!

I will not comment on your appreciation of the respective looks of this or that lady on photos and I will let you keep the responsibility of the insulting way you put it. After all, this is all a matter of personal taste and education.
Personally, I prefer not to engage in BDSM activities with photos but with real persons which I meet face to face. And while I find certainly most, if not all, ladies in the top dungeons in the Kingdom beautiful, they definitively have one strong advantage on the two poor girls which I met in Barbar: Ladies in Chateau Jade, Midori's house, Mistress Chritie are competent in BDSM and they obviously love what they are doing.
