You know,,,if someone keeps yelling WOLF, some people will actually see one.
Alice, reports that include the best and at least some negatives/possible areas for improvements,are taken by most readers to be far more factual and less of an advertisement campaign, than that what you have scribed.
I'd hate for some Newbie to think SOL is indeed "heaven"/ "paradise on earth" as it is most certainly not.
Balanced reporting is valuable.

Personally, I always had a great time at SOL so I only posted positive reports.
Bad things? Negative things? Things needing improvement at SOL? In most likelihood, yes. But I never had any bad experiences in my years of going there so I've never written anything negative about it (well, besides that police interruption during B**'s BJ once... which I did post about but that can hardly be seen as a fault of the bar).
My last experience of SOL was this New Year's Eve around 10 at night. The bar was closed, actually, and all the girls were outside dancing up a storm and drinking. I bought a bottle of whiskey for them to enjoy, said my "Sawadee Pee Mai"s, chatted a bit and went home.
J*ne, in particular, is a great dancer.

OK Mel, in fairness to you:
The soi is horrid, the touts are mega irritating, the crowds annoying. Patpong is crap.
The wooden phallus idolthingy is way bigger than mine.
The seats are cheap plastic not expensive leather.
Guys come in when you're getting sucked in the bar.
Girls come in when you're getting sucked in the back room/bog.
You can see girls wee in their loo while you're in there.
They use the hand towel to swab the floor.
They charge me 80 baht for a glass of soda not the bottle.
The girls use baby oil to lubricate you for sucking and try to do same for sex. Condoms and baby oil don't mix I keep telling them, they don't want to listen.
Service is sometimes only 8-9 out of ten.
The girls push you to take another lady or cum again when your better judgement says enough.

Thanks Alice, balanced reporting, you've won me over.
Even though SOL has some areas that could be improved you still love the place, that is enough to convince me to attend on my next trip.

And while I'm at it Mel I have a few more moans:
They don't seem to have KY on the premises but rely on baby oil as previously whinged about.
The girls get changed right in the bar sometimes; naked or semi naked women changing into work / street clothes can put a man off his stroke / thoughts / 80 baht glass of soda.
I left my sunglasses on the high shelf under the dirty vent in the back room.
New girls aren't trained in conversational English before starting work but may rely on you to push / shove / pull / mime / show them what's required.
They don't tell you what colour tops they'll be wearing in advance so you may come in and clash, before your t shirt comes off ( not the only thing...)
They open ridiculously early so you may start thinking about the possibilities of a heartstarter pre-breakfast. As well as spend all said breakfast hoping *h or N*k or whoever you enjoy will be there at the crack of dawn. (No, Dawn doesn't work there either)
Very few seem interested in lesbian activities. The one that does means it and likes pussy licking.
Their pricing policy doesn't discount buying in bulk. Why not employ a sliding scale? Come twice, get one free.
Also condons are pretty small - Thai size I guess? I'm not exactly Mr. Anaconda but they are a tight fit and sometims uncomfortable if you use one for your BJ or FS as you always should.
And that's about it for now. As you can see amongst the tongue in cheek ones there are some real concerns that could be adressed. I'm sure you can work out which ones actually effect one's enjoyment of the visit. I have told them about the baby oil / KY issue but they just ignore it or don't think my advice is justified.
