Again a rumor (from a former manageress at Blue Wave). Blue Wave and Privelege were sold to an American who didn't have a clue. People stopped going. No more tips so all the staff left. Closure quickly followed. Premises reposessed by the landlord who is doing his own thing upstairs (a live music club). Downstairs nothing as yet.
A salutary lesson to buyers of bars. Caveat emptor.
Hasn't that guy done something similar before?

The story is a bit different... Good that yyou mentioned that it was merely a rumour. The problem with the landlord and the management was before it was sold. The landlord is not doing his own thingy as the complete building has been sold.
The actual buyers are seasoned profesionals in the bar industry in Thailand, they will figure it out.
Let's wait and see and than we judge.

Dont know how well a 'Jazz' club would go in that location, I thinks not, but I have been wrong once before.
I think a 'Jizm' club would be better in keeping with the standard.

It appears that there may have been some translation confusion between landlords and owners. Anyway the gist was whoever owns it was doing it themselves. As you say it just goes to show about "rumours' particularly from TG's.
