I visited 'so cool' bar in Asoke, same side as Soi Cowboy, about 200yards down. in the same building as a large Bank. From the outside it often looks shut, and says ladies only.
It was interesting. I was the only farang, my tgf said the girls visiting were mostly bargirls after work but I got the impression they had rich daddies. they would choose from the selection of Thai men around, hostess bar style, generally have fun and mostly drink whisky by bottle. Some very attractive girls but seemed demanding and a bit snotty towards their hosts. The thai male hosts were glossy 'model types'.
Be warned it is expensive, a drink for a host is 400bt and farangs get a cover charge normally of 400bt to compensate for the lack of 'boydrink'.
I am not sure if you could get in without a TG - hope this helps.
