Yes, I agree entirely with the essence of your post.
It's just that I think some of us, who, like you, can at times genuinely feel for the girl, and are quite open to the possibility of of something blossoming if the right one comes along, prefer to refrain in our own minds from labelling them hookers or prostitutes.
But yes, you are right, they are. That is their profession. And they'd be the first to admit it.
But from where I come from, the association of the words hooker and prostitute are something akin to rubbish or trash. And with that, I totally disagree, as I'm sure you and a lot of brothers here would too.

As for the various views expressed here, I agree with all of them to varying degrees so far.
Yes, the ladies are what they are, in the nature of the work ethic.
Five points though.
One, in my ten years here, I've never come across a working girl whose first career choice was this profession. Most of them come from poor villages where communities face debt, unemployment or a pittance for a wage on the land, hunger and no medical help or social assistance. The majority either have a baby or three and are putting them through school, college or University.
Two : Before the use of money, was there such a thing as a prostitute or hooker in the times of bartering ? I think so.
Three : Are these ladies rubbish or trash : Definitely no. Most have hearts of gold. And I'm talking about the ladies of the Star of Light here, not freelancers or go-go dancers.
Four : The terms hooker or prostitute have come from the world of so-called upright women and men brought up in religious and social confines of sexual matters were there is a lot of guilt and shame attached to even normal sexual relations in a loving relationship, let alone other forms.
And five : Anyone who works, man or woman, in a job that they wouldn't do without payment of money, prostitutes themselves. Let's not kid ourselves as being purer or above any other occupation. The individual in this world who is happy in their job and would do it even without payment is a rare and happy soul. So, all in all, I don't think the terms apply here or should be.
To all the brothers ( and sisters ) have a good one today and a better one tomorrow. You never know when the last one is going to be

I agree with you seajohn for at least two reasons.
Firstly they deserve every ounce of respect that one can muster, given the dangers and the strife that they are open to and secondly if you show them respect and consideration, they'll want you to enjoy their service, whichever one you opt for, and thus accordingly will put so much more into it for you.
