I would think that if I owned a bar, such as the Star of Light, and a tour operator or disaffected monger came in regularly - but never indulged in the services of the providers - but brought a whole troop of rubber-necking tourists along, I don't think I'd be too keen to present an exact picture of what goes on in my bar at any time, let alone night-time.
I'd wait for the door to close behind them, before the night services would resume.

It is partial or full service at any time.
But if you troop in with a lot of unknowns or you are known not to indulge, then it might possibly be that you might not get the full picture.
As MSB stated, full service is available at night.

Things have eased a lot over the past months.
I've had full service in the bar in the evening and at night and I know of others who have visited later than me and have been fully looked after in the bar.
I think it may be a question of how comfortable the ladies and the mamasan feel at the time with the situation and the circumstances in the soi.
Goodness knows they came under a lot of pressure last year. But that has all eased and is behind them now.
But it has left a mark in as much as, if they feel that their operation is going to be put under the microscope again for any reason, they are going to try to avoid that at all costs.
There are falang informers as well as asian. Few, admittedly. Some are known. Some are not. So, sometimes it is best to play safe.
I know that I can go into the bar at any time day or night and it can be in full swing. And on another day or night, in the month, they are playing it low key for one reason or another.
It's not like a bar upstairs where there is that bit more protection.
Many guys like this bar.
It is good.
But there are some who do not understand its success.
....or who support other bars in the area.
Or they just don't feel comfortable in it.
It takes all folks.
As for me, I wallow in it.
No better way to come in the mid-morning, mid-afternoon, mid-work, mid-shopping, mid-night.
No rush.
No pressure.
No hassles.
Carefree, cool and relaxed.
And those ladies...? What a delightful joy !

I've been going to the Star of Light on a very irregular basis for about seven years. Normally I will take visiting friends or we may end up there on Stag Nights and the odd Birthday.
Now it has been a year or so since my last visit but unless they have changed all the staff in that period I cannot understand the posts on this thread extolling all these Angelic and almost Supernatural qualities.
The girls are at best,and I'm being kind here,only average looking, and yes they are pretty good at what they do (they get a lot of practice). But lets face it, they do it for money and they make a good living out of it, much more than the average Bargirl.
To me going in there and imagining that they see you as anything more than Baht or that they are your friend is borderline Sad.
Lads I'm not knocking anyone for their love of blowjobs and if I was passing there today and had ten minutes or so to spare I would be in like a shot
But lets not get disillusioned or give others a false impression.

Nothing beats first hand experience.
You can't really go by what others say or write.
You've got to experience it for yourself.
Having said that, one gets a good, although rough idea as to what it's all about and the quality and the skills of the girls, by what you read here in the thread.
Some guys will be more enthusiastic and others less so.
Some guys write with tongue in cheek.
Others just to get a reaction.
Like anywhere else, you read between the lines.
But I have to admit, this thread, although one of the longest, is and has been informative as the years have gone by and as the circumstances at the bar or in Patpong have changed.
So, yes, some people do write way over the top, myself included at times. But I do acknowledge the contribution of the brothers to making this a really good and informative read.
