Yeah, I was in Penang on a visa run back in September and never wrote this F/R until now. Why bother with the F/R when it was a "why bother?" sort of screw, thought I. In retrospect, it wasn't that bad, it just wasn't Thailand, so here ya go.
If you absolutely must have a non-self-service ejaculation while you're in Penang, there's always Thye Wan Health Centre. It's on Penang Road, aka Jalan Penang, just a few steps from the Cititel Hotel -- that's a convenient landmark if you need a taxi to get there.
(As a reminder, there are no meter taxis in Penang, but the drivers will quote only a mildly extortionate price as long as you don't act like a total newbie.)
Directions to Thye Wan: If taking a left turn out of the Cititel driveway, you'd walk perhaps 40 paces and then turn left into a wide alley with an arch over it. The Thye Wan name is on a sign on the arch, but you can't see it from the sidewalk on that side of the street. About another 40 paces down the alley there's an entry to a driveway on the right and you'll see the door with a sign.
Another note: at the time the exchange rate was 1 USD = 40 baht = 10 Malaysian Ringgit.
Anyhow, you walk into the place and there's three or four low couches on the right, the cashier's counter on the left and the bullpen (no fishbowl here) in the back half of the room.
The staff is all Chinese-Malaysian and if you plant your ass on the couch papasan will wander over eventually and see if you're worth his time. Yes, that's sarcasm, but not too wide of the mark.
I got a cold Tiger beer for about 12 Ringgit (a little pricey) and chatted up papasan. It was a slow afternoon, it was rainy season then, and all but two of the girls were available.
Girls were all Chinese, papasan claiming they were locals or Singaporean, but I've confirmed through other sources that many are PRC illegals. It was hard to find one that wasn't fat or ugly or staring vapidly at the TV, but I managed to spot a nice looking girl with her reasonably pretty face buried in a newspaper. So I pulled her.
Paid up 200 Ringgit at the counter for 45 minutes with her and back we went to the room (which was low rent, but I've seen worse.)
No soapy, just a shower and I made a point of piling my clothes in a spot where I'd have a sight-line on them (and my cash, etc.) from both the shower and the bed, and where nobody could reach through from a hole in the wall. Malaysia doesn't have a reputation as a particular rip-off in this regard, but there have been reports of this tactic in some f_ckshops.
The shower was basic, but the girl got me clean enough. Odd I can't remember her name, just some rhyming nonsense like Koko or Mei-mei or some such.
Off to the bed, which was clean and the girl gives me a half-assed massage. With only 45 minutes, I rushed her along and rolled over onto my back. She saw fit to mention then that a BJ would be an extra 50 Ringgit to which I only laughed. She repeated in case I'd misunderstood and I just laughed again, then got in the spirit and bargained her down to 30.
She did a nice job on the BBBJ but not so nice that I was tempted to use my one-shot. When I was ready, I got her on her back for a bit of the in-and-out and then put her on her knees and finished up doggy style.
I don't know if I could have kissed her. I didn't want to particularly.
I kicked back with the last of my beer and a smoke while she stripped off the condom and did futile things with facial tissues. Then off to the shower where she got me washed up and ready to go. I kicked her 30 RM for the BBBJ and an extra 10 for a tip and she didn't whine. I got of there with 5 minutes left on the clock I think.
To make a long story short, yes, you can f_ck in Penang, but that's about all you can do unless you want to sink time and expense into the freelancer scene.
The places I knew about before this last trip were Thye Wan, and the "Health Centers" in the Cititel and the Agora Hotel, but the Cititel had some recent negative reviews and the Agora was just a little out of the way: it was a "Sperm-of-the-moment" decision and there were no taxis to be had in the rain. Word was that the Agora has a better selection, incl. Chinese, Malay and a couple of Indians.
I have to give props to the cheongster brothers of mamakspecial for the information that made it possible for me to get laid in Penang. If they come over here in need of Thai-related info, please show 'em some love.

There are a number of health clubs in Penang often located in 3 star hotels.
The only thing interesting about them is that they have fishbowls that contain Malays, which is something I have never experienced anywhere else. The Malays I had were absolutely stunning to look at.
I believe they charge 180 (no tip expected) ringet for a 10 minute massage (pathetic), bbbj (good), and a screw (below average).

Police: Penang a gay sex services hub

PETALING JAYA: Penang is becoming a hub for commercial gay sex services and the local councils seem to encourage it, police claim.
Penang police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Wira Ayub Yaakub said police had raided health and fitness centres that were being used as a front for gay sex services over the past couple of years.
“Although we have forwarded our recommendations to the local councils not to renew the operators’ permits, we find the centres still in operation,” he said.
“Because of the local authorities’ inaction, the operators have become big-headed, acting as if they are above the law,” said DCP Ayub in an interview.
For instance, he said police raided a health club in Pulau Tikus about a month ago, but business was still continuing.
“In fact, all the premises that we have raided are still carrying on with their businesses,” he said, adding that police had identified at least five health clubs catering to gay activities in Fettes Park, Pulau Tikus, Bagan Jermal and Seberang Jaya.
“We should not allow such unhealthy culture to thrive here,” he said. DCP Ayub chided critics who claimed that such raids would hamper tourism.
Penang municipal councillor Tay Leong Seng said he would ask council officers for an explanation before making any comment.

Penang trumps KL as most liveable city for second time

GEORGE TOWN: Penang has, for the first time, trumped Kuala Lumpur for two consecutive years as the country's most liveable city, Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said.
Quoting the annual ECA Location Ratings research, Lim said Penang had maintained its position as Asia's eighth most liveable city, while Kuala Lumpur had dropped from ninth to 10th.
"If we only beat them once, people may say it's a fluke. But we have repeated the feat this year.
"It's not a fluke, it's a fact," Lim told a press conference in Komtar here Monday.
