I am spending some time in Shanghai and Beijing - and looking for some interesting sights and sounds.
Can anyone reccommend a decnt place for Red Rope action or any normal play in either cities around china?

In shanghai there are quite a few new club spring up near Xia tian di. Went to a couple of movie premiere party earlier this year. Will look for the number and address up.

Last night, I went with a friend to the opening night of M1NT club. I think it is on ZuZhou Lu - but not entirely sure. 24th floor of an office building.
Very big club and classy in the style of New York Clubs with plenty of views across the whole city - inculding the Bund and PuDong district.
The best thing was the model show and women in the club were all very classy and hot! Lots of foreigners and mix of ppl.

I mentioned awhile back that I do business in Shanghai. We are in the JIN MAO building in Pudong. You have to see this place. the Hyatt also uses this building and has its reception on the 54th floor. There are numerous bars and resturants in this building. very Pricey; but is a must for a first time traveler to these parts. Also a great disco/bar/club on the second or third floor. Many "classy" locals hang out there.

So, while used to have to spend a few weeks per year in Shanghai and found a little expensive fun there I always waited for BKK to really play. Now my company is going to park my ass in Shanghai for the next 6 months. I could use any help you might have to find at least passable options. Feel free to private message if you don't want to post. Thanks in advance.

I think Shaihai clubs are not like BKK clubs.
They keep their customers and it is not like short time hot fever like BKK clubs all come and go so easily/quickly
