The BBC just had a special on the outbreak of drug resistant malaria in W Cambodia. The BBC isn't like the fear mongering barking curs we get on US tv. They think it's worse in Cambodia because of the huge amount of self and mis-medicating, and the prevalence of phony drugs. There's nothing in the pipeline to fix this problem either. The doctors from the WHO were deeply concerned that it'll get to Africa and kill a couple hundred million. Now I've got another thing to be scared shitless of. I'll be going, but I'm bringing my DEET and mosquito net this time. wj
