What if Colt had played? Obviously Texas is a better team.

bull, With all do respect EPC, no conference can keep up with the SEC D.....I agree this game might...and I say might have been different if Colt had not got his shoulder knocked out of place by the "Bama D".... but you know what, It did!!!! That is the SEC D, and no other conference has to play against that level of D..... The sooner the other leagues learn that this is what the SEC faces week in and week out the sooner they will learn college football.... SEC atl

Bull, good point, I think UGA or Tenn would not loose by more than 7 against Bosie...... This simply comes down to recruiting players....now a top, top, top athelete will want to play with a uni that gives him the most TV exposure...now USC has a major market and those dudes are rock stars in LA, as they have no pro team in LA... but if you are a top, top prospect the SEC is the best way to the NFL atl

2008: CBS Sportsline Alumni Tracker http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/alumni-tracker#A Miami - 55 Georgia - 54 LSU - 50 Michigan - 50 Ohio State - 47 Florida - 43 USC - 42 FSU - 42 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Per Espn - 9/14/2008 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/college?letter=m Miami - 45 Georgia- 40 LSU- 40 FSU- 39 Michigan- 39 Ohio St-37 Tenn- 37 Texas - 35 USC - 33 Notre Dame - 32 Auburn, Cal, Florida, VT - 31 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Actually, the most players have been produced from Notre Dame. You guys above me are telling us which school has the most active players in the NFL at this current time. The proper answer to the question is the following. Notre Dame 462 USC 461 Ohio State 390 Oklahoma 339 Michigan 332 Nebraska 331 Tennessee 321 Penn State 317 Texas 316 Miami (FL) 294 Florida 289 The question is asking what school has produced the most NFL players, not which school has the most NFL players playing in it right now ( which is what is listed above my answer ). Nebraska had a better defense than Alabama. There is no doubt in my military mind that the number one quarterback in college football would have had success against the Alabama secondary. Look at what the Freshman did and he has very little playing time. The hit on McCoy wasn't dirty or particularly hard. It just hit the wrong way for Texas and knocked his shoulder out. One thing I did not like was the fact that Alabama kept their starting lineup in when they recovered that last fumble on the 5 yard line. Two knees would have ended the game and they would have won by 10 points. Apparantly that isn't enough for the SEC. Lou Saban was making a statement for next year, it seems. "Bama is very good but I can't help but believe McCoy could have handled the game better than a 19 year old Freshman that had no experience on the big stage. As far as the NFL is concerned...I wonder how many of the NFL players played their high school ball in Texas. Maybe I'll Google it and try to find out.

EPC Posted: There is no doubt in my military mind that the number one quarterback in college football would have had success against the Alabama secondary. Tebow would have played after that pussy hit!!!!! Just adimit it, the SEC is simply the best at the sport the last few years, hands down If Colt had faced Florida, UGA, Tenn, hell even South Carolina..he would have met the same fate... stop kidding yourselves, the best conference in football is the SEC I will glady accecpt defeat when it comes, but until then we are the best conference in football best of luck next year! EPC, that is Saben..and most respectable people, Mark Richt the UGA Coach would have taken a knee, but Saben is a grade A prick!!!!! But you know what, I would trade Richt in for Saben any day....... atl

You're trying to tell me Tebow would have played with a shoulder separation and then having no feeling in his throwing arm? Riiiiight. I will admit Alabama won the game. They scored more points than did Texas, even though they were outgained in total offense. I do not think the better team won the game, regardless of the macho position you seem to have assumed. The SEC got incredibly lucky when McCoy was knocked out. That, more than anything else, won the game for Alabama. The SEC has now won the last three national championships. Texas won the one before the current string began. As the Chicago Cubs used to say...Wait 'till next year.

EPC Posted: The SEC has now won the last three national championships. _________________________________________ Try 4 in a row, and 3 different teams..... and yes, wait 'till next year bitches!!!! with all do respect atl PS. before Colt got knocked out of the game, he did have 1st and goal at like the 3 and failed to get a TD against the 'Bama D.. I will say that the 18 year-old freshman must have been under the most pressure of his young life and played admirably
