A couple of days back, an article appeared in the Bangkok Post, pathetically claiming westerners owned a 3rd of all Thai Land.

The usual photo of one of those special family emblem t shirts can be seen worn by the man claiming this propaganda.

After the usual progressive in house journalist had written her rebuff, and tHe local westerners used to defending their mana to a parasite society, in the form of a letter or two in the same newspaper...all went quiet.

Mass media, and social networking through the Internet are forming a new temple of change, more profound then at any other time.
Powerful families in Thailand, many in number, see that their grip is also under threat.

What if the meek were not so meek?

What if social education and spirit raised the consciousness to question norms?

Must be western poisons......?

Nescafé is regarded Thai coffee upcountry.(3 in one ) buddha and a 1000 other imports, are theirs....all this Internet and competing truths.

Buddha was from Nepal ?

Shell is not Thai.

Westerners produced cloud seeding....?

Damm that f***s the shorts before a movie.

Knowledge.

Next the rice farmers might form a hard arse union, and people rise up.

So many fears.
Must be all our doing.

So the fears of change and a brand new Thailand where freedom of even speech....are all too much.

And what happens when Thais upcountry find out nearly every product in their pantry is not Thai but the stupid apes ?

The goons and I'mmoral and only good for buying houses? But inferior.?

What will happen when the younger people learn about the real old truths and the bullshit doesn't cut it?

That's what the f***ers are really scared off......

The inequality power shift...moving towards more brave new world common knowledge and veils lifted

Full story
http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/local/284068/ombudsman-says-foreigners-own-third-of-all-land

Ombudsman Siracha Charoenpanij revealed the information during a seminar on disguised legal transactions and foreigners' land ownership in Thailand held by the Senate committee on economic, commercial and industrial affairs at parliament yesterday.

By law, a foreign entity is allowed to hold no more than 49% of any land. However, the Ombudsman said in many cases, more shares were held by the foreigners via nominees.

Ombudsman barking up the wrong tree

It is true that many farang men have given money to their Thai women to buy land and then to build a house on it. This practice is widespread in several Isan provinces where some communities are literally known as foreign-in-laws villages for the high number of cross-cultural marriages. It is also true that some foreigners who have obtained permanent residency in Thailand have bought up almost all the units in some condominium buildings, in Pattaya, for instance.

But it is simply not possible that the actual level of foreign land ownership is anywhere close to the figure claimed by this unspecified study. Even one-tenth of the figure postulated would still be unrealistically high

Rumour Has It

For instance, the special administrative zone of Sodom by the Sea (otherwise known as Pattaya) is proposing that condominium foreign ownership limits be increased to 70% from 49%, to help keep Thailand competitive once the Asean Economic Community is formed in 2015.

See, now that's forward thinking.
