Two sisters take a holiday in Cambodia with partners.
They get into the party scene and take some drugs. ( e)
Unknown to all one of the guys is a drug trafficker.
The partner of the older sister f***s the younger one when ripped on drugs... On the beach..its a raw scene...then goes on a bender....a motor taxi guy offers him more drugs and takes him to a den...
There is mafia and gambling.....they want him to play but he passes on....just sucking down joints
They try and sell him a girl who is clearly underage ( maybe 12) and he snaps and pushes one.
The friend appears ( who knows these dudes) and tries to save him
They get down the road but they follow on bikes.
His friend tries to talk their way out of it...but the more naive guy had mentioned police before.
The drug trafficker gets viciously stabbed about 15 times and dies.
The killer wants to stab him too but is held back...a total nut case.
The other guy gets a gun put to his head and told to forget.
The movie revolves around the guilt and federal police and his wife finding out the sister has been f***ing him.
It's a messy warts and all movie...the characters are much darker than the trailer suggests.
The murder scene is excellent the killing is your typical ya ba crazy type.
It's not Hollywood its politically incorrect.....but the Asian gangsters ring true.
In one scene the gangster asks "where he is from ?"....trying to make small talk...
When he says Sydney Australia....and the gangster says ooohhh Sydney I have family there'.....then the incredious look of doubt but acceptance to keep peace on the Aussies face.......it reminded me of other Thai real life similarities.
What's important about this movie is the values of showing people how shit can happen.
It's a gutsy movie that switches back and forwards in time and place.
A lot was shot in Sydney...as the federal police start asking questions...and the dark secret bites into his soul as his marriage falls apart.
The younger sister is played by a hot little slut with good eye candy on offer.
