Ran up a 1400 baht bar tab at King's Corner last night in about an hour. ŬI only drank 3 beers!!! ŬEven while buying lady drinks for 3 dancers, the total count should have been 10, not 16. ŬI didn't complain because I was so happy with my take-out order, a Chinese-Thai mix who was cute beyond imagination.
Although her excellent service more than compensated for the discrepancy, I advise close scrutiny of what the staff is putting in your cup.

What I just don't get is why guys like yourself say ' I didn't complain because' blah blah. Shit, it is because of guys like this that don't say anything that they think they can do it again to the next guy. Then some poor bastard who knows no better gets ripped off. There is absolutely nothing wrong with quietly pointing out that you only had '10' drinks and not 16, you may have made a mistake could you kindly look into it. If they still persisit with it being correct, then get stronger and make your point. If you don't want to make a scene in front of the gal you just bf'ed, do all this when she goes to get changed.
Several weeks ago in PP I was with a friend in a couple of upstairs massage joints and the waitress added a drink down for herself, then 3 girls added drinks for themselves etc etc, this happened twice and the bill was padded several times over. My friend did not want to make a fuss and the girls drinks were of his choice, but the f_cken waitress just putting it down pissed me off. he paid and I jacked up. In the second bar the same shit happened, but this time apart from the waitress and some girls, she also added an extra 300 to each bill she put in the cup. I pulled the bill out and said whats this for, she said for those girls and waiving an arm in the air anywhere but to no particular girl, I said you can take that 300 off and the drinks for yourself. Then I lent over the bar and whispered into her ear and in earshot of the male manager 'if you continue to rip people off like that, nobody will come to your bar, we live here and do you ever want us to come back or what'. Then f_ck me she adds another 200 to the next bill, f_cken c***s, I got up them and we left.

Even at the bars where I hang out on a regular basis , I check the check bin and I make sure the girls see me doing it. When I'm in a new bar, I check the bin each time the girl puts something in it. When I hand her say 1000, I say to her 1000. So far never a problem with bill padding or telling me you only gave me 500 not 1000. 3 days until I'm reloaded in the Thai Matrix.

Good tips from BigDUSA. ŬI've never had a problem, but then I haven't been to that many bars.
I have to agree with Ducksnutz. ŬIf you get ripped off and don't complain, you're making it worse for the rest of us.
I leave the morning of the 26th. ŬIt's the longest 24 hours I've had lately.

Checking your bill and complaining will only help you. I doubt if it would really put a stop to this practice.
There are simply too many tourist that they can rip off, we are just a handful, hence the pleasure of this practice outweighs the pain from the complaining few. If we were to really make an impact on reducing this ripoffs, then we have to warn everyone who visits these bars. Unfortunately, this forum audience is only a grain of salt in the overall scheme of things. It is probably time to put Spam email to good use!

If you were in Kings Corner the chances that the "girl" you picked up was female are not so good. Lots of post op TS in there, almost 90%.
Kings Corner and KC3 are both notorious for overbilling, just complain and ask for the mama san.
