Can anyone tell what they think the best non p4p bars are in Soi 23 between Suk Rd and Cowboy

Well with a name like Londoner you might want to try The Ship Inn - a small British Pub. Food is not bad - you know pub grub - cottage pie, fish 'n chips, you can even have a chip buttie. The pub is located on the corner of Cowboy and Soi 23. Of course this might be exactly the sort of place you have come to Thailand to get away from.
Just out of curiousity why do you want to find a bar in such a specific location - cant be more than 70 yards.

I was not aware that the Shipp was not p4p, but then again I have never really thought about it. If you are correct and I have no reason to think that you are not, that would be the full list would it not, considering the old dutch is more of a restaurant and in cowboy anyway.

Also noticed the other night that the German Beer Garden across from Old Dutch looked closed. Pity as they had both decent German and Thai food. probably will become a new condo - Regent Cowboy Palace!!

JA...It's been closed a few months now.. They moved up to soi 11 around new year, then wound soi 23 down. the food, farang and thai was good. I have been to the soi 11 version only once. Did not rate the place as it was nothing like the beer house and the food was not so good. Will not be returning in a hurry.

FYI The beer garden will make place for a new 5 star hotel. That was one of the reasons why Asoke Plaza (at least the parking lot for now) was closed down. The parking lot of the hotel will be there.....
BTW If I remember well, there's only one bar (The Ship) on that stretch.
There's another one (The Offshore) but the girls (as the food) are good to go... so not exactly non-p4p.
Why don't you stroll down to Soi 33... stand in front of it, point to the bar below and then to yourself and shout ' Me same name, me same name'?

No, it's not upstairs, not a non p4p bar but yes the name is Siamese Twins.
Probably the smallest sized (looking at the width) bar in Bangkok.
