Took a stroll down soi 33 for the first time yesterday and was greeted by a large sign in one of the bars,
"Japenese only"
What the f_ck is this,1941 or what?
Are there any Japanese forum members with the balls enough što answer this?
Yea i know there is Soi Thonglor but if they want to špay x3 for the same service the rest of us get elswhere šthats their problem.
It does make me loose it a little bit, imagine if there were bars with "Americans only"or "Soi U.K."
When they say" Japenese only" what do they think they mean?
Is it only the bar, or is it the girls that work there are only supposed to go with them?
Heres a wake up call for you guys from the land of the rising sun.
In my apartment there are two girls being sponsered by Japenese,both of them get nailed regularly by Thai/Farang boyfreinds and one of them is pregnant by one of the Thai men.
I know this happens to most every sponser,but the Japanese like to think they are immune to this.
Still crazy after all these years,right boys? š

They "know" that they mean "Japanese only". Are you really new to Thailand?? Discrimination is perfectly legal there and very common.
Take a walk down Soi Thonglor and you will see even more of these joints. I went into a bar there years ago and the girls were amazed as I was the first farang they had seen in the bar. Usual customers were Japanese and Thai .. for some reason they did not limit to just Japanese.
There are places that do not allow Arabs (long before 9-11) and that seems to be OK with most of the farangs that I know .. but it seems to be not OK with many farangs to be on the other side of the fence??
Get over it, life is too short to worry about this.

First, don't blame every Japanese person for the discrimination of a few.
Second, it is not necessarily Japanese people putting up the signs, it is probably Thai owners who are trying to make their Japanese customers more comfortable.
Third, it is understandable for people to want to visit a bar where there are like-minded people, where their culture is respected, and where the girls speak Japanese and otherwise know how to treat a Japanese man.
Fourth, there are so many bars that it is silly to need to force your way into every one of them. Let them have a handful of spots to themselves and go on with your life. If this were the only bar in town, then you might have a beef.
I certainly can understand Japanese men not wanting you in their club as you obviously have a chip on your shoulder.

Cretainly can't understand why you think it is such a problem; don't know about Thonglor but take a stroll down Thaniya Road sometime, I guess 80% of those places either have signs up or will tell a European / Westerner "Sorry - Members Only". There are even Golf Clubs here which, by unspoken agreement among most long time Farang here are left to the Japanese - get stuck behind a Japanese 6 Ball sometime and expect to spend 6 - 7 hours on the course, and don't even think about asking to play through!
As far as Bars are concerned, in general Japanese men tend to be very uncomfortable around non-Japanese; they find it difficult to let their hair down unless they have taken a lot to drink and are reluctant to really let go around anyone not Japanese. (And in any case - believe me - you will not enjoy YOURSELF either in a small bar with a dozen "Salarymen" smashed out of their minds trying to sing Karaoke).
As someone else said, there are plenty of places around where you - and your money - will be more than welcome; why sweat the small stuff, life's too short!

another thing is the japanese pay alot more, have alot more money, and have small dicks... IN GENERAL.... I think I also read somewhere that they don't go for oral on them?
If i was a BG and i could get twice as much money and only have to endure a small dick, i, too, would work at a japanese only club...
