I haven't been to Bus Stop for quite a while, but when I used to visit it the girls where on the payroll for sure as the girls told me they work in shifts ...
Also, I have seen girls barfined and asking for drinks on commission basis.
If is not a bar like Beer Garden Soi 7 ...
But then again, it might have changed ... (maybe the reason why Whisper counted 31 girls instead of the usual 10-).

Well, I'm sure they guys I was with who took girls before from there didn't pay any barfines, and there can be a lot of girls as whisper said, probably about 10 serving girls in uniforms and upto 40 or so 'civilians'.
Having said that the food in there I thought was crap, especially the Thai food, and I never eat in a place that can't even get the Thai food right.

sometimes it-s good, sometimes you get a stomach ache,
sometimes you don't get food at all (don't order the stew).
schnitzel is big, fish and chips okay.
most girls are freelancers, just making drinks. only the SIA uniform girls are on the payroll.
the male thai manager (handyman) is a dickhead
the female boss (wife of aussie) owner is okay
layout and place is otherwise fine
girls are free to come and go
no barfine
beer is cold

Thanks for the feedback, chaps.
While I was there yesterday I noticed (stared, more like) at one of the civilian girls whom I saw on Saturday. She got up and walked towards me (this is alright, I thought) but she went in the bar, grabbed her handbag from under the counter and gave the cashier what looked very much like a ticket. The cashier then handed over the princessly sum of 25 baht and the girl took off.
I wanted to ask someone what the story was but I was too chicken.
When I left I asked the uniformed girl at the exit what the uniforms meant and she had no idea what I was talking about.
I'm off to the beer garden now.
