i think that no one can pick on any one race to blame. if your white, it may be good, because they'll think you have a tighter budget, thus resulting in cheaper rates.
unfortunately for me being asian-american, i always get hit-up with higher prices.
nowadays, i just tell them i'm part thai.

that's funny, i did the same thing when i was in BKK for the first time. all the girls & the mamasans were telling me i look like i'm from Hong Kong so i went with it & was treated well in many places. one thing i learned from my first trip to LOs is lie, lie, lie, & lie some more to get what you want...

being part j, i must say if they don't want us at there specific clubs, they shouldn't be going to places where punters have kept a certain price line going. i know the cause & effect in which the japanese have caused my island state's economics and affordable housing situation, it will never recover and makes it less affordable to most 'locals'....with that and their attitude, they really believe they are better then us, i don't enjoy seeing them at my beloved soi cowboy........again i am part j, but i am all american, i don't believe in prejudice in any form, but i also don't like individuals who are filled with prejudice either and they rate prety high in my book...........chok dee

Your island's state? What island is that and what economics are you talking about? If your island is Japan, it's not doing too bad compared to other Asian countries.
Who are the "locals" you are talking about? I think I'm a local and I own a 4 story house and my salary isn't all that high. Of course it isn't in the exact place I would like it in and each floor is a single room with each being 50 sq meters but I like it fine.

If I were in a club in Thaniya, I might not mind you being there also. Maybe the management wouldn't let you in but there are places that don't let Arabs or Blacks in either.
Besides, why do you care? Although the prices have come down in the Japanese clubs and some of them are starting to let in Gaijin, would you really want / could afford to go to one or is the problem only that you think you aren't allowed in?
