He didn't buy a hotel, she leased a guesthouse. And the owner, his wife, is planning to make another bar inside the guesthouse.

And the social crusade has nothing much to do with Asoke Plaza (as it wasn't with soi 10). It's just a matter of a new hotel coming up on Soi 23 and the parking lot has been sold to the hotel.
Never said it did the point is that he and his wife are fed up with the bar business and are getting out as there are more and more restrictions on bars and nightlife in general.....get a life pedantic moron

It seems that you get easily upset (like in that DVD thread) and 'strike' back with fierce language. Perhaps you should take an anger management course. So it is..... chao man! (It's not Italian, it's Thai....)
Secondly, this thread is about the pending closure of Asoke Plaza, so if you post information without being clear it's easy for members to misunderstand Furthermore, if she leased a guesthouse, don't tell members that she bought a hotel.
Perhaps, you remember the DVD thread? Because you were not clear about your intensions, people started to post wrong information.
So, think before you post and outline your thoughts clearly. Use your brain... it's hard, I know, if you're a machine.

I have passed by a million times and have never stopped for a beer at any of these places. Anyone have a favorite spot among these to recommend? Any good fishing spots here?

Anyone been inside Siamese Twins Bar on Soi 23? There were a couple of hot numbers out front the other night on the way to SC.

Well, actually all the bars on the parking lot have gone and the German restaurant on Soi 23 has been closed.
No idea if the bars on the Suk/Asoke will continue to operate and for how long.

For jack attack - try B52. A big place facing onto Suk. Usually good fun. Also, next to B 52 along Suk is O2 bar - small but lively.

All the bars will be gone by the end of March 2005. A 5 star hotel will be built on the site, hopefully the company that I work for as they are in discussions at the moment. It will be a hard task as I will have to spend about a month there for the opening !

went by Asoke last night with quite a load on and during the freakin' downpour. I thiink I found B52 and I think I was sucking face with a beautiful girl. And I think I probably paid BT 5000 for two beers.
I know I woke up with a hangover and I know no one lying next to me. I also know I was still soaking wet from the rain as I hadn't managed to take my clothes off before crashing.
I need to investigate with far fewer buckets of 'Loud Mouth Soup' in me next time.
