Alley Cats sucks  Been there once and this will not change anymore just as my first and last visit to Annies.
Lollita's is (was) perfectly located near Soi Cowboy, my favourite bar area.
I hope it will be reopened in Soi Cowboy itself. There must be some dump gogo bar at Cowboy that can be replaced ... I vote for Jungle Jim's or Moonshine ...

Fire breaks out a Soi Cowboy pub

A fire broke out at a pub on Soi Cowboy early Friday. Nobody was injured.
Police said fire fighters spent about 15 minutes to put out the blaze after it broke out at the Raw Hide Pub at 2:30 am.

Sidwenes- Thanks for asking the question I was thinking  I know it is OT but misuse of penultimate always makes me laugh, not that I am saying thailien missused it, will have to wait and see which is the last resort for semi-not-desperate (glass half full vs half empty kind of thing, no?)

@ jaybee -- penultimate is an easy word to use. It simply means "next to the last".
When I wrote the controversial phrase "So Rawhide, penultimate resort of the semi-desperate... " I was actually writing about what I know best, myself.
As most of you know, Rawhide is the first gogo bar on the right, as one enters Soi Cowboy. This means that it is also the last bar on the left, as one staggers out of Cowboy in a semi-desperate state, sometime after midnight, after too many beers and not enough contact, but still horny.
I'm feeling only semi-desperate because I still have money in my wallet, and can still walk upright. Despite the beers, I'm still a little horny. I could still do it.
It's not too long after midnight. A miracle could still happen. There are usually some lovely naked angels still prowling the Rawhide stage, even at this hour.
So what the hell.... I'm still upright, solvent, and even slightly horny. I should really walk on to the ultimate destination. But Rawhide is right here, on my left....
So in I go, for just one more....
Predictably, one beer later, still in the same unsatisfied condition, I stumble out of Rawhide, and head to the ultimate resort of the desperate, just a short walk up the odd side of Sukhumvit, and down the stairs to the formerly smoky basement meeting place. No prizes for a correct guess.
