There's a Fish n' Chip plaice (sorry!) on the left side 50 meters before reaching Soi Cowboy, that has a small bar on the right as you enter. They used to bring me a beer with my order, didn't seem to be P4P and was nice enough.

No problem in taking any of the girls out of the fish & chip shop or the bar next door. They are just not as obvious in P4P as bar beer girls but a little effort and some are quite good fun.
They just smell a bit fishy!

Stayed at the Jasmine a few times and had a beer with the fish and chips....nice girls, good fun but no hassles.

I am underwhelmed by the Jasmine suites. They really seemed cheap and the service wasn't too exceptional.
I can't imagine another 5 star hotel though. The website will say something like "see the sights and sounds of Bangkok from our luxurious facilities". Then show up and Soi Cowboy hits you in the face! Sheesh, the wife will really love your choice of hotels on that trip!
There is always Giusto italian restaurant further down. Last time there the food was superb.
