Think this goes for any 5-star hotel. However, nothing wrong with staying at Sheraton Grande across the way, stop over for drinks at the Westin, maybe go back to her place, back to your room at the Sheraton, a completely different hotel altogether, etc. Anyone successful with this M.O. lately?

It's the same chain, but each hotel is managed independently. They cooperate to some degree, in common billing, etc... but the Westin is competing against the Sheraton for business.
That means if you're a guest at the Sheraton and you take a girl from the Westin staff across the street, that's not as big of a problem.

Nooooooo sh_t, really? Impressive detective work, Sherlock. 
Please, spare me with the yellow card. I'm fully aware of the affiliation between the two hotels. I've stayed a number of times at both and am a SPG Gold Member. I was merely thinking of the convenience factor of SGS being across the street from WGS.
Familiar with the concept of "thinking outside the bahtx" (pun intended) ?

I have been taking "Westin Girl" back to my room at the Sheraton for over a year now on numerous trips. No problems what so ever with that.
On occasion she has thought that some people working in the Sheraton know she works in the Westin, but nobody seems to really care, and she is not concerned about it.
