What about telling the girl a couple of days before your visit to take a holiday so you don't have to pay a barfine at all?.. worked for me...
Rates do go down for ELT (extra long time) I found... meaning multiple days... if it's B1500 for a normal LT then it should be something like B1000 for more than 5 days or so...

Most of advice is right on. As for price, I once bar fined old girl friend (Mamasan called it a buyout) at Long Gun for 9,000 baht. She stayed about 6 weeks and I returned to USA. When I returned, mamasan remembered and honored old agreement. But, I also spent a ton of money in the bar so it was good business on her part.
As far as direct payment to girl, for extra long time negotiate a much lower daily or monthly rate (if that is your time allotment). The suggestion of 1,000 / day or 30,000 per month is good depending on bar (a-go-go vs. beer bar) and earning potential of girl. If the girl is from a beer bar, you can get away with less since her barfine potential is less.
Other advice on relationship (sucker, etc) is up to you. You know the pitfalls--some work and some don't.

Gosh. In the bars I know well the girls only get two days off per month, there's no discount for multiples (i.e. you pay the whole barfine for each day, no discount no matter how long), a doctor's note is required for absences of longer than two days without prior arrangement, miss a Friday or Saturday and it's a 1,200B fine unless 600B BF paid in advance and they lose their jobs if they don't stick to the rules. Wages are good (they can pick up 7,000B-odd per month), but they're charged 1B/minute they're late (from 5.30pm), which comes out of their wages.

Agreed. Some of the bars have salaries--especially a-go-go's. In this particular case, at Long Gun salaries for the standard dancers (not the headliners) at that time (2002) was 4000-7000 depending in what level of undress you would perform (bikini, topless, or topless and bottomless). Add to that, late fines as mentioned, and fines if you didn't meet the miniumum barfine/month quote. There might have been a drink quota as well, but I never asked about that. Nonetheless, the Mamasan did agree to the "buyout". After my departure, the girl did return to the bar. Incidentally, during the buyout period she received no salary.
With a subsequent lady at a different bar, I did try to negotiate a long term buyout on the barfine, but the boss wouldn't deal.
However, many of the other bars (especially beer bars) don't offer salary. They are more a place for the girls to operate out of and for that the proprietor gets barfine (or part of depending on the arrangement). Some other bars, such as SoL, pay no salary, but the girls get paid on a per bj basis plus tips given directly to them, not on the check plate (the boss keeps all of those and does not share them with the girls).
