Two or three of those in a night and you're laughing, at the dumb farangs in particular. In theory it is good for the bar as it generates multiple barfines, some of which accidentally wind up in Mamasan's pocket.
Fortunately I settled for a regular squeeze who knows what is expected. I can't be bothered dealing with all this garbage.

Have to agree with all the commentary here. And like BKK Chang, I've found that I've sort of developed a short list of ladies that always come through. Some really good looking, and some really average. But they all are really sweet and none of the hassles described in this thread.
And the short list tends to change over time as the ladies move in and out of the business, find boyfriends/husbands, or just move back upcountry with the spoils.
But it cuts down on the starfish frequency, and assures that my punting dollar is well spent. Also, Like BigDUSA, I'm finding I get a much better quality shag with the "older" bg's, i.e., mid 20's and upwards. Maybe not the hardbodied 19 y.o. stunners girating in Angel Witch, but I sure feel better once the money has been spent and everyone goes home happy. The ladies on the short list know I have a TGF, always tease me to take their phone numbers (which I won't, that's a recipe for disaster with my TGF), and we always part friends.

I am well aware of that. But I *like* to romance them.
And that is one of the few points where I have to disagree with you: in my experience most BG's love it when you take them out to a nice place before you get down to business. And that goes both ways, I like seeing these girls having a good time. Its part of the turn-on for me.

And now for some nostalgic ranting:
In all my time in the Philippines, things like this *never* occured. I never had the feeling that the "meter was always running". BG ("normal" girls even more so) always seemed to have a genuinly good time. It is very rare a BG in the PI would ask me how much I would give her; something that is the rule here.
ST is the exception in Manila. If you take a girl home, it is understood she will stay till the next morning. In most cases she will clean up your place before she leaves as well
I will keep testing the waters in BKK though. No doubt about it.

Take it from me, these girls feel NO sense of romance towards paying customers. They usually take the rise in private.

Hey Hypershade - quick question. How long have you been "living here"? Reason I ask is because barfining girls out of Angel Witch is a kind of "touristy" behaviour.
Once you have been truly living here a while you will know some girls who you can call on their mobiles & leave bar fines to visiting punters who don't know how the system works. And if you think I am bullshitting you ask Scobie - he & I have compared notes a few times & agree that the game can be played for 1000 baht a night - LT or ST - up to the girl. Obviously club hopping will add to a night's entertainment cost. Cheers.
