Waxhead. LY problem is that the people that run Witches Tavern are a pack of lying theiving motherf***ers.
PLUS the place is full of white faced yuppies.
Who the f*** would want to go there? Tourists & falangs working in white collar jobs is my guess. They thrive on over priced Killeney. LY was a heck of a lot more polite that I would have been. I guess he didn't want to create a scene. P.S. I was sitting across the table from him at the time.
So a word to the wise. Avoid Witches Tavern - unless you support overpriced drinks.

so mister rtb - king of the one liners - how do you explain the fact that mister LY ordered "whatever is free for the lady" & got charged for a glass of white wine & a Heiny draft?
The problem most of you guys have is being unable to read.
In plain English - simple enough for the swiss miss & others. LY said he wasn't sneaking sips from her glass - he had ordered his own glass of draft - albeit - trying to get it at happy hour prices (nice try) which - should that behaviour be observed by staff could be grounds for charging for the "Free lady drinks"
At the end of the night there were no free lady drinks - even though that is their stated policy. Let's see we were there on a Wednesday night at 8 pm. OK that's ladies night - yeppers.
So the only question left to answer is - are they thieves or are they dimwits? I pick A.

I was more concerned with getting the hell out of there and back to home base, Washington Square, before my date blew chunks everywhere 
and I already know how that shit goes even when you call for management, they have some sorta loophole excuse for charging for LDs
noticed that gals next to us all had orange juice or something, not sure if it had any booze in it
not worth my time to go back, but glad to have at least checked it out for myself, no more doubts

There is a paper in the men toilet, saying that they give the discount only when you pay with a credit card !!!
Also on the way to the toilet you can see their promotions on the left wall in engl. and thai. Was there the other day, food okay, live music okay but very little people. More Farangs then Thais.

never thought I'd set foot in this place again, but there I was recently, waiting for a prospective GIK to show up
Kilkenny went down smooth
and I noticed the f*** off big sign on the back of the men's room door stating that dicsounts would require payment by credit card 
Thong Lor looks like it's got some nice places, but couldn't for the life of me decide which one to hit, besides this place
anyone heard of Sahm Saleung Restaurant ?
hear it's around this area, but didn't spot it when thru on the way to Wtich's Titty errr Tavern

I think you mean Song Saleung. Its a Thai style nightclub on Thonglor soi 21 that also serves food. Some bottles were 800 baht last time I was there and they had several thai bands playing (one after the other). Its under renovation at the moment though.
Witch's Tavern - always disappointed me but never tried the Kilkenny.
