It looks like the 2nd floor Country Roads pool bar will be closing in early January 2007 (the 1st floor closed some time ago although it has recently tried to re-open with very few customers). Most of the girls say they will be moving to a pool bar in soi 1. Not sure what is happening with the late/all night top floor pool bar.

I hear about this closing of the 2nd floor pool bar for month now, first in April, it just doesn't happen... And even the mid floor bar has reopened.. TiT...
And yes, they have some real cuties... but be aware: BF is 600 though...

Latest rumour is that the area will be used for a new BMW showroom - that will really add character to the area!
The former After Work is closed again, though the Country Roads on top and bottom are both open. The 7-11 downstairs has closed as well, so something is definitely going to happen.
A real shame, as the Country Roads pool bar upstairs is one of the most pleasant and enjoyable and relaxing bars on Sukhumvit, as well as having some very appealing female staff. The owner was originally planning to relocate to Soi 15 but is now considering Pattaya as rents in Bangkok are too expensive.

To go off my field report--Country Road is gutted and over--But did the Neon Sign glowing proudly at the south end of Pattaya road three--a walk around the corner from the Resident Garden hotel.
Did not go though--anyone been in?

It's relocated to "the tunnel" - the alleyway between Suk soi 5 & 7. Much smaller premises but still live music and pool tables. Open til 3am nightly.
