There is no need for Japanese bashing on the forum.
Actually they are doing you a favor by posting the sign. That means:" stay away, you will be over charged. "
Now for the kicker. I saw the same sign at a bar in Honolulu, Hawaii. The last time I checked Hawaii is the 50th state and the Japanese did try to acquire it in the 1940's. My tax dollars support that state. Japanese people are not as rich as people thing. They like to buy fine things and have a good time and there is nothing wrong with that.

I heard that some of these clubs have a reciprocal relationship with night clubs in Japan. ðThe member can entertain guests in these Bangkok clubs on corporate accounts already existing with Japanese clubs. ðBills incurred here can be settled in Japan and Japanese member cards are interchangeable with Bangkok clubs.
Good set up if you're Japanese.

I too would think you have a chip on your shoulder. Why the anger at hthe Japanese? This is a THAI policy which may or may not be intended to please thier Japanese clientele.
As others have pointed out -- discrimination is legal here; it is objectionable to me but not to the Thais and guess whose opinion matters?
Again, as others said, why would you want to go to such a place? Just the principle? Sure it's unjust but it seems to me there are a lot better things to get indignant and outraged about and there are plenty of good causes to get behind right here in LOS. If you want to fight injustice, I think your energies might be more productively focused elsewhere.
BTW even ethnic Thais are discriminated against in Thailand, let alone Thai born Indians etc.
