My experiences originate from many years, usually at low season. Last time was 2007.
OK! I am not picking the hottest girls, but the neither the fat nor the ugly ones. I prefer happy everyday girls that I can talk to and who can make me happy. They are not the girls that are picked every night. Usually I pick them after 1 am, when they are sitting outside the bar looking for custumers, where I use to sit down and having a chat before starting the LT talk. Sometimes, I recognise them from my previous visits in the bar where they work and after LT we use to spend half a day together before they return to their next shift in the bar.
I ensure you that some girls want THB 2500, but most girls are negoitable. Remember that the salary for a shopgirl is about THB 160 a day.

You can't count it out. I know a certain ex-Angelwitch showgirl who at her peak was easily being barfined 2 or 3 times a night and yet she casually mentioned some guy who had paid her 1000B l/t in Nana Car Park!
I was stunned. "Were you happy with that? Weren't you angry? Long time for 1000B?!"
She'd agreed to it, wasn't at all angry and just thought of it as another fee at closing time. Some guys were giving her 2.5-3k s/t yet she was prepared to accept this "because the bar had finished". She just wanted to make as much money as possible.
So it could be worth a try, with any girl.

BKKRH, Minimum wage in BKK is 194 Baht per day.
I'm not saying a gal cannot be had for 1,000 LT, but it's not wise for newbies to read that and expect it to be "the norm".
I'm more than happy with an "8.5" that hasn't just finished servicing 3 customers to expect 2 or 2.5K, LT.

A friend of mine who has just been through pattaya and bangkok told me that prices were on the rise. He would not give details - which makes me think he gave it up for a high quote.
Any one else finding this? Another friend who lives in BKK has told me he is getting quoted 3K ST on cowboy now - he does not pay it but when they start that high - he walks away and finds something more reasonable
Is anyone having trouble getting 1500 or less for ST out of go-gos? How about LT?

I had a prefectly acceptable offer of 1500 LT in BKK 5 months ago.
The world, and the Thai economy isn't much better now than then.
It's probably worse (not rocket science, I know.) The negotiation you
are speaking of may be somewhat insulated from that, I realise. But
prices on the rise simply because high season is arriving? I don't see
it. This isn't going to be much of a high season. TAT confirms it with
numbers, airlines do with reduced flights & common sense does, too.
Those prices seems to me to be the openng salvo in the process to
determine final price.
Never pay more than you feel is warranted. You're sure to be
disappointed if you do.

Last weeks, I had three overnighters (and day) girls from Apache.
2 of them only wanted barfine (500) only, one 500 LT. The one I paid 500 LT went to Pattaya for 6 days. Barfine only.
