I agree with the Duke to a certain extent about watching and waiting. However, the early bird catches the worm and he who hesitates is lost. On the other hand walking out with your chosen honey only to find Ms Perfect walking in the door is bloody annoying to say the least. Knowing you can have any girl in the bar is one thing, chosing the best for you is another.
Oh what a life!!!

If the walking in is better than the bar fine one, just BF her as well.
Me and a mate BFd half a bar in Hua Hin one night as the next one looked better than the last! We piled into a disco later that night and the rest of the bar girls turned up.
Two other mates bought out all the girls from Suzy's in Pattaya one night, well they were only 200 each!! They said it was worth it just to see the faces on the punters when they walked into a bar.

I am more of a Pattaya beer bar guy but have spent my share of evenings in gogos etc. It can be awkward when a unwelcome mutt of a lady comes up to you and plants her ass in spot next to you and begins rubbing etc. The rubbing can be very hard to ignore. I believe that the nicest way to ditch one is to simply ignore her as hard as that may sometimes be.
I completely agree that it is crucial to have the woman pick you. Some initial eye con and a smile or a gesture of some sort. She may not be the one that will approach you but she has in e ssence picked you by doing this.
I like to spend some time talking/playing with the girl to see how much interest she may actually have and see if we are compatible.
Make her work for it a little and you will find out who is truly interested I believe.
