Soi Zero (like many places) is a matter of expectations... they need to be limited when you go there. The focus (if any) is pool, and the location can be handy if you encounter rain or thirst while transiting that area. These are girls with a midriff and a past... so a "zero expectation" approach is best. There might be one attractive girl (positioned as a lure, to draw customers) but don't count on it.
Not surprisingly, the two outside bars get the most traffic (Rooster and Sexy Night). The bars further back remain a mystery as described by Jay... some have one or two employees, some none.
Not a place you go out of your way for; but useful under the right circumstances.

Took a stroll down there the other night to see if there was anything new or other wise. Well, nothing new or otherwise. There seems to be more places open now - at least a dozen. All small and many with just one or two girls. I didn't see any stunners in my stroll back and forth or I may been tempted to stop.
One item for sure, many have pool tables and since there isn't much customer action, the ladies must be playing at international levels there. I would only go to 'ground zero' and challenge a lass to play pool if:
(a) she was beautiful
(B) she had big hooters
(c) she had a short skirt with a tight butt
(d) I was drunk
(e) all of the above
(f) any combination of the above.

I visited there about a year ago and I don't think it'd changed since 3yrs before when I first walked through. I don't play pool, but I saw a couple cutey girls, had a couple drinks with one. I reckon that you'd get either a GFE here or a Starfish who loves her boyfriend so much she's agreed to work in Soi Zero (as in zero action). Pretty dead, from what I saw. But it was only 6pm. Maybe things really pick up like Mardi Gras after 8, who knows.
Expectations should be relaxed, as DeepFile indicated above.

Unless I am talking about the wrong place, I mean it litteraly looked like a warzone. There were no people, and the buildings looked partialy knocked to pieces, but not completely. It was not habitable at all.
The area I am talking about it on the same side of Suk as soi 2 and 4, but directly under the highway. You walk past on the way to the PloenChit BTS. Is this where Soi 0 is (was) ? Or am I looking at the wrong spot? If this is the correct spot, it is mostly rubble and trash now.

Soi 0 rightly name was a war zone and at Ground Zero and as such has been reduced to rubble. The resulting fallout can be found roaming the Sukhumvitt corridor after 2AM. Tread carefully as nuclear contamination is a possibility.

Ah well...
I was just wondering if anyone knew its story, as I have not read anything about its demise here.
Of course maybe it was the coup. There is an outpost of 3 soldiers directly across the street. (without magazines for their rifles).

Soi Zero has been gone since about May. I suspect it was pulled down just before all the 60th anniversary dignitaries came zipping down Suk in the motorcades..
