cmore, now I'm glad I didn't go into either of those venues last month.
Walley seems to be advancing the theory that discrimination at the Long Gun is not really racially motivated, hense the preference for the japanese. However, to be truely fair, cannot rely on such superficial characteristics. Must implement a policy of Welcome Girls checking dicks at the door.

You guys complaining about the Long Gun are nuts. I have been there many times. The girls are always great. I think they have some of the best looking girls in Bangkok. I've never been 'discriminated' against there and have always had a great time. May I ask what race or type of person are they supposedly discriminating against?
I still think something needs to be done about those Japanese only places though.

Cmore - my sympathies - I'm a half wog Aussie myself but not as dark as my dago papa was - getting stopped at the door of any club for any reason has always left a shite taste in my mouth and like you I just never go near the place again.
I can certainly say that Peppermint A go go in Pattaya DOES NOT worry about sun tans - was there a few nights ago and sat down at the bar stools next to a guy who turned out to be South African - make a long story short - this "brother" had no problems there - mind you he was also young, well presented, well dressed and polite.
And having me sitting next to him made him look even better by comparison no doubt. Mai bpen rai.

I've already posted an explanation from the owner of Long Gun in a thread called "Discrimination"
The only people I have ever heard being refused entry to Long Gun are Indians and the owners explanation was the 'enforcer' of that ban had probably thought they were Arabs. She had a problem with some Arabs years ago and lost some of her regular European custom that she considered friends. She decided she valued their custom more and refused entry to the arabs in question. It got nasty but eventually died down.
This is from the owner it is not my opinion and I cannot say if it is true or not. I might add she made absolutely no apology for the above and was adamant it was her club and if she didn't want someone in they wouldn't be in.
cmore...I was with you when you visited, I didn't notice any hostility towards you and if you felt there had been I wish you would have said. I didn't say you'd only get in with me...we didn't enter together...or was it someone else? I have never heard of any 'black' guys refused entry.
Last time I was there, there was a group of 4 Indians (Southern) all happily enjoying themselves, and I can almost guarantee seeing someone "Non caucasian" every time I visit.

It was someone else bro and we had been there a half hour before you showed up. Sorry but I was made to feel very uncomfortable while I was there so I won't be making a return visit. Too many other places where I can spend my money without having problems. Peace

Cmore is absolutely correct...If they don't want you in there, WHY would you want to go there?? There are plenty of other places that would love to take your money, so go there instead. So you bully yourself inside and get shoddy treatment, what does that prove? I know some of you are saying "it's a matter of principle" but please, lets get real here.
Employ a "If they don't want me, I don't want them" policy. It's not like you won't be able to find any fun in BKK, the place is a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah combined into one. Although I have never been barred from entering an establishment, I have met girls that didn't want to go with me (for whatever reason), you think I worried one bit? Heck no!!! Within minutes, I had another gorgeous girl in my lap (and only that long because I am picky), begging me to take her home with me.
I always have a good time in BKK, so follow this foolproof advice...Go have fun in the places that would love to have you. This way everyone is happy (Black, White, Brown, Yellow or "Green" ) . Here endith the lesson...
