thaiaficionado, I applaud you for not wanting to pay for the drink. I would have done the same thing.
I do not understand why everytime a lady tries to pull a Fast one on a customer, there are always guys here to try and see things her way. Unless I am mistaken, the Thai way of doing things is (in P4P anyway) more on the stupid than the rational side. What the lady did, no matter how you look at it is inexcusable, on the other hand, BRAVO to the Manager (lucky you it was a Farang).
I wonder what would have happened if the Manager was Thai.... probably 4 people facing you, trying to explain to you why you should pay for the drink laying down their impeccable logic. LOL

I totally agree with this. And it does say something about the girl that she does not acknowledge or thank a customer for his interest in her even though she is barfined by another customer.
I am somewhat familiar with Erotica, went with a waitress there (many times), wrote FRs about here. I miss her.  I am 100% sure that the girl would be charged for the LD if it is taken off the customers bill.
When a barfine is offered (and accepted by the girl and the bar), the girl is not working anymore, so she will not sit with the customer who bought the LD, she will go with the customer who paid the barfine. To me, there is nothing wrong with that, but she can expect the customer to demand the LD be taken off the bill, and she can expect to have to pay for the drink herself.
And if she is smart, she will thank the customer for his interest and tell him she hopes to see him again. It is in her best financial interest to do this, he probably will come back and see him again.

Too bad. Fast food turns into junk food. Yes, from both our persepectives, I do realize there are really plenty of fish. However, perhaps in part because I am a bit older that almost all the girls (or simply the way I was raised, or maybe even because I consciously like to be), I am always courteous. Thankfully, most of them still are too.

It's a tough situation for the lady also. Does she return to kindly say she has another customer that has already paid?? If she does, she may well meet the gentlemanly type who says, no problem, have a lovely evening OR she may well meet an angry, scorned customer demanding her services and generally making a huge scene ( I've witnessed this on more than a few occasions in LOS).
I guess in a happy liitle world that we dream of,, all the customers would be nice and all the girls would be. Unfortunately this is the real world.
The last time I "lost my place in the queue " was at Hillary's ( sister bar of Morning night). I'd had a wonderful time playing pool and chatting with a lady and unfortunately had other things I had to do that night,, so I said " meet you here 6pm tomorrow " ok ??? she said "you sure?" I assured her., and she agreed.
Anyway I arrived just before 6 the next day,, she was playing pool and I sat at an empty table and ordered my drink and her favourite drink. To cut a long story short, she was playing pool with someone who had already bar-fined her. Was I initially angry,, you bet,, but then what she said cut very true. She stated,, you know how many men promise come back bar and they never come back? I sorry but I think you maybe same as them and not come,so I get customer,I very sorry because you honest but I've got bills to pay.
Let's be true,, it can't be easy being either the provider nor the customer in an industry full of lies and dishonesty.

Good point, Mel.
I don't think we can expect too much from these girls. For the most part, they're poorly educated and from impoverished backgrounds, without a lot of opportunity to make something of themselves. They have a good excuse to live life for the moment. But the girls are very good natured, which is why they're so much fun to shag.

she was right, I agree.
If you really wanted to keep her for sure, you should have paid her barfine of the next day right on the spot to avoid the situation you had 
so when you would have showed up at 6 (if ever) you were sure that she would be yours.

NicFrenchy, Yep I know the rules but try this TWIST on the rues.
I was in Morning night late evening,,had to go to dinner that night with parents so unable to go with gal. Paid bar-fine for next day, agreed meeting time 4:00pm.
Arrive 4:10pm, Gal was there all smiles. looked great,, then she said sorry I must go with friend,, back in 1 hour ???? Her friend was sitting with a farang, I said where you go,, I go with my friend do double for that farang!!! But I paid bar-fine I exclaimed,, she said,, no worry honey I back in one hour, no be jealous.
So as we can see even pre-paying a barfine is no guarrantee.
