CG is correct. My advice is to set YOUR price and tell her.
Surprisingly enough, the line "Hi, I want to barfine you. I will pay you 2000 baht for LT" works for me in 99% of the cases (and in the "one" situation it did not work, she claimed she did not go LT... truth, maybe).
Maybe because I'm such a handsum Norwegian...
PS! And do not negotiate. Just go away if she says no.

I think it all relates to what you can afford. When I was earning 15,000 baht per month in 1994, I had to rely on a late pick up from Peppermint and King's lounge in Patpong and thermae that would give me their body for a som tam breakfast. Now that I earn 15 times that much I just pay for what I like......up to 2,500 baht (for bar girls. Upper market freelancers are a different story.

Actually erikE, I think that K..K..Kenneth is correct for a change.. not necessarily for one off occasions.. but if you hit a spot regularly enough and the girls get to know you and understand your financial status or perceived status, the price is not such an issue.. of course not with all the girls but many more than you may imagine

Since when does the Mamasan set the price? Isn't it up to the girl herself? I may be old fashioned, but I rarely ever even speak to the Mamasan anywhere, let alone negotiate with her over a particular young woman's price. That is between the young woman and me - nobody else.
As for the price I pay, I never negotiate unless the girl brings it up herself, which becomes a real turnoff. It's 2000 baht period - I rarely get an argument. I also don't ever discuss LT vs. ST. Again, I guess I'm old fashioned. When I first got here 20 years ago, those two phrases didn't even exist in the vocabulary - paying a barfine in 90% of the cases meant she was staying until the morning. Of course, it's a bit different now, but it still rubs me the wrong way to discuss such things. If she wants to stay, great. If she wants to go before morning comes, up to her.
Guess I'm just stuck in my ways.
