Well, for me, I like Soi33. It's the perfect soi to start out the evening. Relaxed and fairly priced during happy hour.
I met Soi33VeryGooBKisser there. I barfined her 3 times. I know I probably could have made some arrangements, like meet up after work etc. But I did like to spend the evenings with her.
And for the price discussion? I asked her the first evening I met her. I barfine you, then how much do you expect for spending the night with me? "The barfine, that's all," she said. CG told me she surely ment "Up to you!".
I tipped her. And more than generously the last morning. But all in all the total bill did not go much higher than it would with a go-go girl in Nana.

I like soi33, too, but could only find two bars that have decent looking girls. I usually BF the grils the first time ( 1500 bahts ), and then they would always just gave me their tel# and we made arrangements during their off hour/off days. So, the total $$ spent is really comparable to the gogo girls or even less if you really add up all the hours these girls would spend with you. I also found there are more part timer at soi 33 than the gogo bars. I like the part timer because they are usually less " hardened" and more GFE. I also found it very appealing that you can actually have your dinner in the soi33 bars. The waiter will go out and get foods from the nearby restarurants for you. I would just order a lot of food so I could shared some with the girls I like. It's a good way to " break the ice" and gave you time to find out if you really like this one or that one. Gogo bars are too much "in your face" and I found some big name gogo bar girls and mamasans are really pushy about drinks. Also, the gogo girls prefer ST because they can go back to their bars and do a few more for the night. ST just does nothing for me. I prefer LT and the companionship as much as the sex itself.

sure more classy and relaxed on soi 33! also girls are not so professional (ST is hardly a known word on this soi).
dinner wise you can also get your food delivered in a gogo bar, I am sometimes doing that too! only problem is that some girls get a bit irritated when they see you eating in their gogo's!

Well I guess it's more than possible to make a night out at Soi 33 relatively affordable, even equitable to the go-go places. But it *can* get quite pricey.
Depends on what time you start out - during happy hour or after. And whether you pre-order drinks at hh prices to make your drinks (and moolah) last beyond happy hour. Also depends on how much, say, a Heini bottle or pint costs in bar X compared to bar Y, and how many of these and what kind/combination of alcohol you get.
Depends on how many lady drinks you buy and in which bars you buy them in.
Depends on the barfine for the night, for which bars. Also, sometimes bartenders have different barfines from the others - sorry, can't remember if there are specific terms for them.
...Errm, Sitdownwithmecuties? Poolplayinghotties? Doorgreeting/cheerguestbabes?
And for the more adventurous and/or foolhardy, the MamaohohmamamiaSans!

Heck, for some of them richer and more virile folks, depends on how many gals they want to barfine at the same time, per night 
Depends on whether you play pool (if available) and how much a game costs.
Depends on post-barfine costs - meals, bringing her clubbing and drinks, cover charge if any, taxi, any other costs for...you know what.
Anything I left out?
All in all, not an exact science, but it takes practice (and ultimately more $$) finding out.

Hi Guys,
Wanted to share some experiences on Soi 33 from a 4 time visitor to BKK. Plus get some feedback from forum members.
Have read alot of the posts here and decided to try the bars at Soi 33 vs nana and other sois along Sukumvit. IMHO prefferred Soi 33 bars as they are less pushy and provide a more relaxed environment which is more in line with my own personal tastes.
Overall I found the girls in Soi 33 more attractive, with better understanding of english and not as much as a hardened professional outlook as other parts of BKK. Again this is based on personal preference.
I met a great girl in one of the bars - she told me she was PR girl not a hostess, (confirmed it on her name tag) can anyone outline what is the difference?
We ended up chatting for a long time one night after a mix up on my bill. She moved me to a new seat after the mix and kept offering to find me a nice woman to chat with. I told her that I was not interested in talking to other women but would like to talk with her. She told me her normal job was to greet and seat customers and ensure they got their first drink, and that normally she would not stay and drink with customers.
Is this likely or is this a nice line to show she is "nice girl"?
Anyway she said she was embarrassed by the mix up over bill etc and she would chat with me. She was a complete darling (I know they all are!), we chatted and had a few drinks and started talking about things to do and see in Bangkok. I mentioned maybe getting her recommendation on places to eat and she told ne show would show me if I wanted to pay bar fine. At this stage I did not expect anything more other than a nightout and dinner. I ended up barfining her THB 1500 so we could go out to another Thai club and then a late dinner. We shared taxi back to my apartment and asked her if she wanted to take the taxi back to her apartment and I would give her the money. She didn;t even think about it and simply got out of the taxi with me. I was very suprised by this as at no time throughout the evening did I mention or expect her to stay with me. We ended up spending the rest of my trip together (4 days) and although I paid the barfine for each night she never mentioned any other tips etc. We did do a bit of shopping and I had to insist on paying for a few gifts for her - a couple of times she even paid with her own money and would only accept my money after I told her I really to wanted to buy these things as a gift for her. I also bought her a seperate small gift she did not know about until I gave it to her when I left.
We spent a number of nights together where we often ended up just chatting until the wee hours before finally climbing into bed.
Now at the risk of getting flamed, laughed at for my naivity etc the entire experience seemed to transform from a business transaction into a very real GFE. I have read many posts her how some of TBG are expert actresses and have no shortage of displaying "real" sincerity, however I really didn't detect any mercenary desires on her part. Even more convinced by the fact she did not ask for a tip and we discussed meeting up in BKK and another place in SE Asia where her family has a business. She travels every couple of months to help stock her family's thai goods store.
We did discuss how much we enjoyed being together and agreed to stay in contact and to see what may happen in the future as I will be returning to BKK on more regular basis for business as well as possible meeting up outside Thailand.
In this situation my heart is telling me that it worth exploring to see what may eventuate whereas in my mind I have nagging doubts or concerns at being played and becoming an ATM.
Any advise for a relative newbie?
Appreciate honest responses from forum brothers.

Amen to that... This was first trip to BKK in over 4 years - during that trip had some fun drunken evenings in Nana etc.
However this trip Soi33 was perfect for me, not only the less hardened unjaded beauties but also managed to change my jaded views of Bangkok. Guess my own definition of fun has changed since being married and divorced in the past 4 years
Do you haved any info on the difference between PR girl and Hostess job titles etc.
If ever heading to China let me know and can help with some inside knowledge...

Nice one Snap. Sounds like you had a very pleasant experience.
As for the distinction between PR and Hostess girls, I can think of only a few bars on Soi 33 where this might apply. I'm probably stating the obvious, but in my experience it's just about the perceived pecking order of the girls in the bar. Although your friend told you that she normally greets and seats customers but does not stay and drink with them, you soon discovered that with a good attitude and a little patience, and if she likes you of course, then anything and everything is possible. After only a couple of hours she invited you to pay her barfine.
Could be wrong, but I suspect your girl was a little more choosy over her customers than most. One of the benefits of having the "PR job" is that the girl has a ready-made excuse not to sit and drink with a boring arsehole if she doesn't want to. She can choose.
Anyway, good luck with this one. It'll be interesting to see where it leads.

I am no under no illusions - I met her in a bar, she works there to support herself and no doubt her family - and she will meet alot of men given where she works.
Having said that there is a slightly more comfortable feeling that she is not someone who will just go off with just any one - maybe this the illusion I keep up for my own ego or self esteem... any way enough the sunday night philosophicals...
