Had to pop in and double-check for myself when I read this - #19 is a pal, and revolted by the idea of such things. Perhaps you meant #26, who was certainly involved.

Baccara may be the best place in SC but it still sucks in my opinion.
I popped into this place because I've always admired it, in a bit of a sadomasochistic way. Anyhow, I walked in and headed strait to the upper floor where the smaller girls were dancing with no tops and no underwear (I presume). The whole place was absolutely crawling with Nipponjin and I was completely ignored during all four songs upstairs. The dancing was interrupted on a regular basis which I assumed was related to the men in brown. Then it looked like there was going to be an argument between some Nihonjin and a bargirl but true to form nothing actually happened. No biggie, I figured I could head down to the bottom floor and find something to my liking. Well, I went downstairs and checked out the action. Nothing was very impressive, especially since I was still sober. Man, has Baccara always been like this? Truth be told, even some of the Nihonjin were being given the cold shoulder or only getting enough action to allow for a quick squeeze, a lady sip and then off to only Buddha-knows-where. After only getting some play from one middle-range girl and not finding her very impressive I decided to wander off. I figured there could be any number of other places to hang out in SC. Well, that couldn't be further from the truth. Of the places I popped my head into all were sad depressing scenes, including the formerly jumping Dollhouse. SC has apparently become a sad joke in my view.

I was in Big Mango a couple of weeks ago and ran into a newbie. He was just finding his way around and after a bit of a chat it was pretty clear it he was a bit intimidated by things, so I told him I would go with him to a few bars (before heading to my usual stomping grounds – Soi Cowboy). The ladies this guy picked out I would not BF no matter what. The point being that everyone has different tastes so it is always kind of hard to recommend any particular bar or location.
I would agree that Nana has a better selection of ladies, more consistently. But I think this is because many of the Nana girls really push for ST over LT. So the better looking girls are always finding their way back into the bars at Nana. Each of the SC bars really only have a few lookers IMHO, but they will generally agree to long time, and get snatched up pretty quickly when they get to the bar. Not necessarily early because some of the better looking girls do not even bother showing up until after 10.
Also the bar with the best looking ladies on SC seems to change pretty regularly. Deja vu use to be very bad, and now if you hit them at the right time they have a pretty good line-up. Shark bar has a decent line up now. Long Gun has good shows, and some good looking girls, but quite a few not so hot chicks as well. The talent level in Dollhouse went down quite a while back and in all honesty I have not set foot in there in probably six months.
As far as Baccara goes I agree the better looking lot is upstairs but the girls up there tend to have a very young look, which is not to my liking. It has probably been close to a year since I BF a girl out of Baccara.
Drop me a PM next time you are headed down to SC and if I am in town maybe we can hook up. I am generally there every Friday when I am in Thailand and not traveling for work.

Some very insightful points made by IBFarang.
I popped out one evening last week to get a haircut and accidently finding myself in Soi Cowboy, as opposed to the Star of Light, I dipped into Baccara for a quick Tiger before moving on.
The girls upstairs were all so young and fresh-faced in a childlike sort of way, which really turned me off. And this might be because of the differing amounts of alcohol in our blood at the different times of visiting, or our circumstances or the type of day we've had or our mood.
We just have to try to keep things in perspective and to maintain our hold on reality. I am not a newbie to bangkok by any means, so I know it must be very hard for a newbie to navigate the temptations with any degree of accuracy.
