I'm glad you said that BK as after Reading the original story about the coin, I was thinking what I would do in that situation. I spend a lot of time at Gullivers, mainly for the English football, and often see these loud and unsavory looking characters (political correctness stops me from saying **** *****). I think I would scream and scream at the top of my voice just hoping the attention would indeed make them f*** off.

Same area today, got the idiotic "u lucky man" indian guy (who
try his trick on me for the third time in two month, he is no physionomist this one as each time I just tell "f*** off you indian con-man") and then an older Thai guy trying to get me to follow him to sell me amulets (very annoying one, pulling me by my harm and hard to make him let go...)
So far the african dont seem to like me too much, wonder why...but I m glad of it

Interesting, in my 5 years here only 2 Thai touts touched my arm adn both times I looked them right in the eyes and told them: "don't touch me", they immediately let go.
This is not normal for Thai people to behave like that at all. let me guess, you are a whitey farang with amulets sticking out of your shirt? no wonder they took you for a sucker!

Well Nick, I agree it is very unusual for a Thai to touch you like this
I know much more about Thai amulets/spirituality than the average Khun Thai, and the amulet I wear is genuine hight end stuff, so anyone who look at it and think I m a sucker is just showing his own ignorance on the subject

It is getting worse quickly in this area.
Why Gullivers does not take action to clean the place from all the (well known) scammers fron Nigeria or India.
I really think the Nana area is going down the hill very fast, cheap and dirty. This is definitely linked to the rapid expansion of the "Little Middle East" area. Only Soi 3 a few years back. Now Soi 4, 5, 7 and approaching dangerously Soi 11.
As much as possible, I avoid the Nana area and entrench myself around Asok.
Little Middle East can be very nice but unfortunately the expansion is not under control and a lot of crooks go with it.
As usual, local authorities do not seem to be concerned at all; until real shit happens... And it will, just a matter of time.

In the view of the MIB, there is no problem at all : it is only farang scamming other farang, no real human being (male thai national, the thai girls also dont count as human) loose anything AND the police can make easy cash each time some victim ask them to get involved by demanding money both from culprit AND victim
Why should they put a stop to it when its a goldmine for them?

Many places are actually paying the price because of this kind of "customers" who slowly but surely invade Beer Bars, Pool Bars, etc...
This is not Racism, This is a fact ! and it is getting worse and worse every day
At Bangkok Beat we have a very strict policy  and do not allow this type of "artists" to come in, and we will maintain and enforce it if necessary.

ANyhow, Bangkok Beat, yes you're right, these people are polluting the area and it is not going to stop so for us punters it is better to move to other areas li Cowboy, soi 22 or even the expensive 33. much better fun to be had.

Yeah, bumped into one of those inside Robinson Soi 19. He just said "wow you have a very lucky forehead" I replied "f*** you" and that was the end of it. They don't care because a lot of people buy this shit.. and pay.
