Me too. Soi 33 is lots of fun and great value compared to other hostess bar areas and top end watering holes. A nice change of pace from the Go-Gos and one or two gems still to be found here.
I've had 2 freebies in the last week with girls who compare very favourably against regular Piano or Orbit PRs IMO. One of these girls I may stick with for a while...at least until Loy Krathong is over.

Soi33 need not be expensive at all. Happy Hour beer prices in almost every bar in Soi33 are below beer prices in NEP, and at or below those in Soi Cowboy. Lady drink prices are mostly reduced as well for Happy Hour - ask.
Happy Hour in most places ends at 9pm, perfect for heading elsewhere. Lucky Luciano's has Happy Hour until 10:00pm. A few places (The Office, Baccus, Richmond) have reduced price draft beer all night. And in every Soi33 bar, you can book drinks during Happy Hour (tell them before 9:00pm how many regular drinks and ladydrinks you want) for consumption after 9:00pm at Happy Hour prices.
As in all bars, you will find some you really like, and some you really dislike.
Barfine for the girls is up to three times that of a beer bar or gogo, but because of that, unlike a gogo, most good-loooking girls have not had one or more poundings previously that evening. Most are not barfined. Develop a good relationship with them and after a few visits, you can meet them at 1:00am when the bar closes. You'll have had fun in gogos or elsewhere during the evening, and you get a nice companion (hopefully you find one who doesn't like to get smashed) for the night.
Now if I could walk down the street without my name getting shouted from all directions.

Was disappointed with The Office on my last trip. Stopped by twice last week. I've been popping in on every BKK trip ever since they've opened. Seems like the turnover of bargirls is more rapid than ever, and the latest crop for the most part is nothing to get excited about. No more Khwan, Tar, Ice, etc. Hopefully this is just a phase, or maybe plans to sell it will result in the end of The Office as I knew it.

This place has been getting very popular & a load of new girls (well, from other bars in Soi 33) have started here. I have found the quality to be down from six months ago - just more girls to choose from.
Some of the girls have stopped work leading up to Xmas or so I am told, because it tends to be quiet,. They may be back in the New Year. Whether these will be an improvement on existing ones is open to question.
A good place for a beer and sport, with a good craic..but not really a place to pick up lookers (no eights & above)...well, in my opinion anyway.

I have never lost the taste for 33 BG's
Oh and yes, flame away boys.
You can strike lucky anywhere sometimes, BUT...quality can be expensive!
and yes, yes, yes I know there is some absolute crap on soi 33, but there are some great girls there as well that are extremely hard to find in other bars (with the exception of club hostesses, as some other bro's such as foreman and smeggie can attest to!)

Quality at The Office has slumped over the past 60 days, but I suspect it's just natural cycles that impact all the bars. More girls get sponsored out of Office than any other place however... so the best ones never last very long.
The 33 market is slow... Luciano's is for sale/lease, Richmond is scheduled for remodel, The Brick recently closed for a makeover and Timbevati gave up on the "open air" motif and is now installing walls so the dining areas can be air conditioned. No one is complaining about too many customers...

I've heard that Timbevati is making a few of changes: hotel rooms (overlooking the pool) should be ready after the new year, the rear bar will be converted into a hostess bar and the main restaurant will be tinkering with its menu. Might be an interesting place to lodge once it's all done.

According to my sources Timbevati has been sold by the South African guy who also owns Pickles on Soi 22. A lot of the girls ended up over there.

I'm new to this forum so do pardon my ignorance!
Has anyone any stories/insights into the Blue Bar BQ bar?
I went there last time in BKK and had a good meal with 2 lovely girls sitting and chatting with me. They both gave me their telephone numbers when I left but I didn't have time to call them. Should I have called them after "closing time"?
