UK last friday
a guy at work had a nightmare day started to flip out big time (computer crash lost all that days work)
opened his draw and pulled out a can of beer chang that I brought back for him from my last trip to the LOS we started to fight over it but I let him win as he needed it more than me !!!!!!

Beer Chang is bloody awful stuff. I once had a large bottle on a lunchtime about 5 years ago and slept through to Sunday and could still taste it.
If you want real cheap juice then Thai Beer is cheaper and is brewed by the other lot, the Boon Rawd brewery who make Singha, buggered if I can tell the difference from Singha but it is verrrry cheap.
The cooperation with Crapsberg was extensive. The plants in Bang Pa In Kampangphet make over 1,200 million litres a year of piss and were built with Danish know how and international quality parts.
The main ingredients are rice for fermentable content and water pumped up from deep acquifers. In fact the waste water means the local farmers are getting 3 rice crops a year.
The hops and yeast give the flavour. The hops are mostly Aussie with some European. The yeats is where it is at and this was coming from the Crapsberg Foundation in Denmark every few weeks. The yeast is a strain of the original Crapsberg yeast and is highly controlled to ensure consistency.
The reason Beer Chang took the market was partly because it is bloody strong and hence one bottle with a bucket of ice makes a party and partly because the marketing team insisted that if you wanted a case of Mekong whisky you had to buy a case of Chang as well. Before you knew it the shops were full of cheap Chang.
If you want to look a real cheap Charlie ask for Beer Thai in your local drinking den. So far I have not found one.
My tip would be stick to Heineken, weak as piss but not the same hangover.

Never thought it would true so I had to try.
Turn a large full bottle on Chang on its head with the top on and immerse in a container of warm water overnight or so.
The sediment at the end of the experiment is a full inch thick guey white stuff, I was told it was animal fat.
Point is I didn't believe it until I tried.
