What's makes them "arab's bars"?? The owners or clientele? I assume it's not the gogo dancers. I don't ever recall seeing many men of middle-eastern persuasion in SC, but then I don't tend to be looking at the men.
I have always liked Tilac (formerly Black and White?), Midnight, Long Gun, and Shark (although I agree, chemistry is low) and Baccara for the eye candy. Swore to never return to DejaVu. If I have been in Spice I must have turned around and walked right out.
I tend to spend too much time and money in Afterskool, but hey, it's my kind of touchy feely place and I always have a good time, without going to the corner. The others in that group, Jungle, Toy, I forget, are all hit and miss. Mostly miss. But god I love SC, may it never change too much.

A guy nicknamed "The Arab" owns several bars in BKK. I have heard he is Iranian, thus not an Arab, but they still call him that.

Thanks for the clarification chuck, that is a fascinating bit of trivia I did not know. I would be curious to understand more about the ownership, foreign or otherwise, behind the entertainment in BKK. It is often surprising to learn who stands behind. I only know who stands out front, in a bikini.

I bought some of the cheerleaders some tequila, had some myself. Beware, I think the lady drinks were about 250 but I can't remember which bar it was because they were all dressed the same. I asked to bar fine them, but they wanted guaranteed contracts with two future draft picks.

I have heard the guy is from Iran, which was formerly Persia, and has never been an Arab country.
They speak Farsi in Iran.
