The Thais are an abrupt lot. They treat each other like dirt, none of them trusts another Thai, especially their own siblings, they are forever trying to rip each other off and they lie so much that they have all become adept at reading body-language. Don' t be so upset at how you have been treated, it sounds like you were viewed as "one of the family". You should be proud.
Now go back in the bar, smile as though nothing ever happened, and show them a wallet with just Bht 200 in it. I promise you will be left alone.
These people work in such bars to make money, any way they can.

Its obvious, (at least to me ) that this guy, had a real bad experience at lolitas. And wrote a similar report. But this one is meant to soften the original by taking the piss.....either the owner (who he later said in jest gave him a blow job) threatened (on meeting him) to beat the shit out of him. (thats lolitas pattaya) or rewaeded him, and said try turn it into a sham write another...make out its all high camp shit!.....truth is lolitas has been damaged alot by mad frogs initial field report.. in that many who read this subject, will see its not a one off problem (and theres no doubting his sincerity on that thread) It occurrs to many. The please is a f***ing rip off, so cut the act mad frog... be a man, stand by your brave initial field report! (i for one..like many hit the classifieds) this shit hole (lolitas) has had its day!

What I know of Madfrog is that he is a reasonable and sensitive guy. Sensitive in that he cares about other people and their feelings etc. (I do NOT mean sensitive in a thin skin wimp way so please no one misunderstand me on this point.)
The outrageous elements of this story had me unsure if it was a joke or not but now that I see he is adamant on this subject I believe it is true.
Maybe he let his guard down and said yes at an inopportune time and brought upon himself a very bizarre chain of events. Upon explaining that he had not meant to BF anyone etc they should have agreed to drop it....they did not. They are rippin him off and that sucks....
IMHO he has a right to be pissed off at them but TIT..I usually feel that some of this is a cost you pay to learn where you should and should not go. I have avoided Patpong like the frikkin plague for years now cuz of rip off BS...there is a certain bar in Chiang Mai that blatantly ripped me off and I angrily told the bros and I for one will never go there again.
I am sorry to hear that such crap has happened to a very nice person...it is frustrating when you have a cluster of ripoffs and BS occuring. You can find yourself so angry that you cannot any longer see the beauty of these lovely Thai people and their culture.You may even in a moment of anger want to blame them all. I know thoughts of that type have flashed through my mind.
Madfrog....bro this bad feeling will soon pass...and you will once again regain that warm and fuzzy feeling you usually have for these people.
Now might be a good time to return to some favorite ladies that you know will treat you right. There is comfort to be found with them....hopefully your run of bad luck will soon end.

We can all accept you had a bad experience, but you shouldn’t generalize in such a blatant way. It’s like getting offended to hear assertive language when you deal with trailer trash from Oklahoma. You sleep with the dog, you will get his flees. You walk in the rain, you get wet.
Most of the bar-people are from the bottom part of society and are there to make money. Combine those two and you get the reason why I avoid bars.
Learn from your own and other peoples experiences and draw your conclusions.

Well if it IS true, all I can say is I wish I had been there (and I avoid LB bars like the plague). The sight of an LB sticking the bill on the end of a dildo and sticking it up his arse and then into the guys drink would have had me apoplectic. Any chance of a re-run? Nothing more and nothing less. And this is what you are getting asked for.

Just to set the record straight.
Last time you looked was the last time I was there. Actually, the only 2 times I was there was in your presence.
And I am not saying that bars are evil. I am just saying they are what they are: brothels, employing (understandable) money-hungry bottom feeders.
