It is rather funny to observe the following :
All the "normal tourists" are ok to band together to criticise the sex tourists
Most of the "sex tourist" agree to band together to criticise the one of them who go with ladyboys
Then ALL the normal tourists + sex tourists + ladyboy lovers are OK to band to criticise (and wish death) for anyone who is foolish/drunk/stupid enought to go with an underage bargirl...
That the sex industry in Thailand is pushing hard and making all it can to fool its customers into f***ing those underage girls does not seem to register in people mind
When one is drunk, in a foreign country, with a girl who lie about her age, who look older, who show a fake ID card or her older sister ID card, when the boss of the bar know about the girl age, lie to his customers and use those very girls as "Hello girls" to entice people in his bar (and must pay handsomely the police to get away with such young girls in full view)......and its still the customers who has to feel guilty and to be blamed if he does the mistake to take one of those girls back to his room???
I really wonder some time who the pedophile criticise?

With respect, I am sure what Pegasus and certain others were referring to above was NOT the unintended act but the act committed with INTENT. It is a fact that there are many who go about actively looking for this sort of thing and are prepared to pay large amounts to obtain their kick. Also there are many who, even if they were not actively looking for it, would easily fall for it the moment they see an irresistible opportunity in a situation in which they feel they can get away with it. I think this is really where that "Right is Right" comment comes into play. Would you do it if you could get away with it ?

Now I will go slightly offtrack, since this subject weighs heavily on the mind and -- to be honest -- shows up inadequacies and inconsistencies in myself.

This is a classic. I for one do not give a damn about that. I find them exciting, they are not illegal, so I will have them. And no, I am not racked (anymore) by doubts about being gay. I have various limits to the extent I would go with different sex objects. This term (sex object) itself might be resented by many, but I like to be clear with myself. To me, the TGs, the LBs, the bargirls are all sex objects. I do treat them with respect, many times with affection. But I must remain clear in my mind that they are sex objects. If I don't remain clear about that then I am going to go crazy sooner than later, and then come to grief (as I almost did on a couple of occasions).
Now, I ask myself, what would I do in a country like Malaysia which is on the verge of outlawing LBs. In Thailand I can have the LB without fear, in Malaysia I have to fear the law. So I steer clear.
This is the same situation that obtains in respect of younger girls. In Thailand even 16 is reported to be legal, although in my own country it isn't. Would I then be emboldened to go for it ? Maybe emboldened, truth to say. But here is where the values sense takes over. The Right is Right thingy.
Yet, as we go along the path of the great LOS adventure we would find many of our customary values falling by the wayside because this is paradise where, as the song goes, the Devil walks next to you. How many of us can honestly say that we didn't change as we experienced LOS, bit by bit at first, then stepping on the pedal ?
Morality, like Economics, is often influenced by Supply and Demand. In Asia you wouldn't dream of being naked with your sister or daughter, but in nudist camps in the West it is done. What's immoral in Asia is acceptable behaviour in the West ? What's immoral in the West and in many Asian countries even (16 yo) is acceptable in Thailand ? LBs are taboo in many Asian countries but perfectly accepted in Thai society?
So what's this sense of immorality to do with? Either we hang on to our customary sense of values (and feel "correct" with ourselves) or surrender to the great sexual revolution that LOS entices us to join. How else could we have tasted so many forbidden or out-of-reach fruits that are on offer in LOS ? A massage in our home country means one thing, in LOS it is quite another ! Would you not laugh at the story of the newbie who scrambled up and grabbed his pants to make a hurried exit when the massage girl offered him a special ? Where would we draw the line ? As our experience tells us, the borders keep getting pushed as we move on the sexual curve.
So drawing a line is nothing but temporal ?
If we are to remain non-judgemental we cannot take a stand with ourselves either. In many of us (me included certainly) there is an inner voice that rebels against our own ingrained values as we see values in different societies. Honestly, to me a transsexual was a repulsive concept in the years before I visited LOS. The first LOS visit changed that and unravelled a personality in me that I never imagined existed. In a Pattaya bar, into which I wandered like an innocent, I was "brought to the brink" by one of the most beautiful LBs I had ever seen who fondled and rubbed me so erotically and induced a reciprocal treatment from me to my own dropped-jaw amazement. An experience that changed me forever and made me more enlightened.
Values. Maybe we all have one lane in our individual psyches where there are no traffic lights. Only our own values which, like the horizon, keeps retreating farther as we test the road ahead.

Yes that is exactly what I meant. I do not judge people. I can only offer my 'opinion'. I also noticed that many of these younger girls look miserable and scared. Picture your daughter or neice at 15 or 16, dealing with horney foreigners. I also did not mean to say that we should have sex with 40 year olds. There is a big difference between between a 16 year old and a twenty year old.
